A Most Peculiar Delivery.......

Yesterday I went out on the porch and discovered THIS!

The box was colorful, with many things that looked familiar;
artists I have seen and admired....

...Exotic places and postcards....
And that is one of Manon's hearts,

It gave a thump and a bump as I was admiring an acorn...

Oh and the lovely drawings and a little princess too!
Well, I was unfortunately in a hurry to get the car in for service,
so this delightful and mystical box was set upon my work table to
open later in the day.

Much later in the evening,
(I admit, I forgot about it)
I discovered THIS:

Although the studio had been empty, someone
had been very busy......

Hmmmmmm, this is looking vaguely familiar.....

.....That looks like a hand,
and an antennae,
and could that be the top of a hat?
The little pompom on a toque?

Well, I think I'd better leave well enough
alone for the time being, although
that hand could explain the
thumping and bumping......

Ooooohhhh my....
What shall I find

Oh, oh! Looks like you are in for some real excitement! I hope you are feeling well again - I think you'll need all your wits about you for this one... Love, SIlke

Anne Huskey-Lockard said...

Well SIlke,

The studio isstill in one piece, so I amhoping the contents are peacefully sleeping for a bit.
Maybe I should put on body armor before unloading the contents!!! ;)

Oh...avatar change....
I was having issues with the one being used in comments dropping out---I guess in one of Blogger's fits of pique, they lost it.
So I decided just to do something different for a change...it is a bit devilish, eh? ;)

Well Linda, I amnot sure. I need to work today and will see what happens as the studio gets awake. I'm reminded of that old saying "Let sleeping dogs lie...."
if you know what I mean!

Good Morning Anne Sweetie...
How are you feeling? Better I hope. It is no fun to be under the weather, especially when it is as hot as it has been this Summer. I am so sick of the heat.

I can't wait to see what is attached to this darn antenna, are you sure we have to wait until tomorrow? Couldn't we just have another little peek?

How's the chipmunk count going? Are you still winning? I thought of you and smiled the other morning as I saw a little chipmunk shirt in one of the stores. I thought oh Anne, if you could only see.

Have a gorgeous day sweetie. Many hugs and much love to you, Sherry

Anne Huskey-Lockard said...

Hi Sherry!

I am back up and rolling; have a studio day planned and ready for it!
I think I sent the chipmunks running in fear....(knocks on wood)....as after the trap, I have seen none, though that does not mean they aren't here. And noooo chipmunk shirt! LOL!!!
Hmmmmm.....I think that box needs to be left alone a bit.
Yes, that is the right choice, for now! ;)

Uh Oh!!! I recognize those parts that are hanging out of that box, Anne. This is going to be GOOD!! I just don't now WHO is going to have more of an adventure while this little one is in your care - you or him!!!!!???
I cannot wait to see what happens. I just know it is going to be spectacular! I can see the wheels in your head turning already. (:
Glad you are feeling better. Your new avatar looks like a Hollywood shot!!!
Be good! (Well....mostly).

Anne Huskey-Lockard said...

Audrey, I think I'd better take and extra dose of vitamins, as I will be working in the studio, and, ummmmmm......welllllll......YOU KNOW! ;)
Life is going to get very very interesting, to say the least!

Anne Huskey-Lockard said...

Ah Deb,

I am gathering my strength....I have a feeling the little guy is exhausted from the trip.
He probably will need a few days of rest, and then be going full bore.
And there is acreage here where he can get in mischief...I think I will be QUITE BUSY!!!

P.S. Blogger must have gotten tired of my old pic as it did not show half the time, so I decided to zap it with this new one! LOL! Take THAT Blogger!!!!♥♥♥

Elena said...

Don't you know I hate "To Be Continued..."??? I wish I had a touch screen where I could flip that box upside down and see what's inside. Can you tell I'm the kind to tear boxes open? Sitting on pins~n~needles....

Anne Huskey-Lockard said...

Oh Elena,

It will be worth the wait!
And I need to get a head of steam going with work too---so I am going to be going berserk around here!
Tune in tomorrow, or the next day.
Same Bat-Time; Same Bat-Channel!!!

Jan said...

Oh who could it be who could it be???? I hope you are safe, bring your scythe when next you head for the box.
I'll be waiting for the next installment in this saga.

Anne Huskey-Lockard said...

Jan, I don't think I need the scythe....but I am wondering about a harness and leash.....just to keep *someone* out of too much mischief! heehee!

What a fantastic surprise dear lady!!! Enjoy and have fun! I like that you added your copyright statement at the opening to your posts...is this what the world is heading to? Imagine and Live in Peace, Mary Helen Fernandez Stewart

Anne Huskey-Lockard said...

Oh this will be amusing Mary-Helen,
you need to stay tuned.....
And by the way, even putting the copyright notice up has not deterred downloads.
All people ahve to do is ASK, but they don't.
Never thought I would live in a time where everyone thinks it is fine just to snag your work.....I am assuming it is for personal use only.
