I think we have all had enough excitement of late Marilyn!
I loved the two bird pics---one just sitting and the others gathered and chatting at sundown.
Peaceful and nice!
I'm off to church tomorrow; need to get up early and look human! LOL!

Redwing blackbirds are one of my favourite birds!

Love that redwing. Looks like a spectacular day! Aren't those "ordinary" days the most spectacular. xox Corrine

Hey Pam,

Don't you feel like you want to bottle those??? They never last long enough. It was beautiful yesterday, and I was able to get some work done outside....today I think it is drizzling rain again.....

Hi Debra,

I love Red Wings too....we have a lot here, especially since our south acre has a little swampy creek running through it. They cluster around the trees and sit on the wires singing!
And occasionally *pose*.... ;-D

Hey Corrine,

Yes, it is sort of a tongue in cheek comment....ordinary days are exceptionally beautiful if people can stop and look long enough, you know? ;-)
I was just shooting a collection of everything I saw.....was fun!

Hi Silke!

Yes, nature trumps all with her show of life coming back after a long winter.....it's pretty amazing! ;-)
But then you know too!

Isn't it wonderful to just have a "normal" day!
After Christchurch, Japan and now the Southeast and Midwest tornados.....(and here in SF where it has been grey and wet).....it is a feeling of deep peace to awaken to a sunrise - Love that Redwinged Blackbird! Alas, they do not love SF - too cold. I do see them whenever I visit friends up or down the coast...

Enjoy your Sunday, Anne!

Hugs,

♥ Robin ♥

Robin, I think sometimes the *ordinary days* are the best....there has been so much going on of late, peace and quiet is something to cherish.
And I well remember SF when it would be fogged in and gray; we were at the Presidio for several years....Loved SF!!! :-)

Hi Jo!

We have had so many dark rainy days, a day with blue skies and birds and things growing is wonderful! I took advantage of a walk today to capture more of Spring for the blog!

Anne, your photos are so beautiful. My heart goes out to all your fellow Americans who are having such a tragic time at the moment. I am relieved to know that you and yours are okay.

If only every day could be as ordinary. I will be donating to relief efforts in the South. Thank you for posting a link!

be still my happy spring-like heart! i cannot believe how rejuvenated i feel from a warm day and blue sky. i'm in the garden, anne, plotting and planning! i'm happy for all of us. i know the world is crazy and too many tragedies befall, but i know too that kind appreciation can only help.

& whenever did anyone start to think that ordinary was less-than fine? :^)

That is such a pretty bird and really great shots of everything. Today we are having cool (62), windy weather, so I am spending a little bit of time blog reading instead of working outside. Plus a honeybee attacked me yesterday! I told hubby it was not the right time, but he got it on the eye while I got it on the neck. What a combination!

Talk to me Dahling!
I'm waiting, breathless...... ;-D
