Such beautiful shots Anne!! DH & I worked out all day in the yard. He mowed for the first time & it smelled wonderful! Yesterday turned out great considering how it started!! Going shopping tomorrow....Oh Boy!! Hope my legs hold out!! Take Care.... amrilyn
I think we have all had enough excitement of late Marilyn! I loved the two bird pics---one just sitting and the others gathered and chatting at sundown. Peaceful and nice! I'm off to church tomorrow; need to get up early and look human! LOL!
Don't you feel like you want to bottle those??? They never last long enough. It was beautiful yesterday, and I was able to get some work done outside....today I think it is drizzling rain again.....
I love Red Wings too....we have a lot here, especially since our south acre has a little swampy creek running through it. They cluster around the trees and sit on the wires singing! And occasionally *pose*.... ;-D
Yes, it is sort of a tongue in cheek comment....ordinary days are exceptionally beautiful if people can stop and look long enough, you know? ;-) I was just shooting a collection of everything I saw.....was fun!
Isn't it wonderful to just have a "normal" day! After Christchurch, Japan and now the Southeast and Midwest tornados.....(and here in SF where it has been grey and wet).....it is a feeling of deep peace to awaken to a sunrise - Love that Redwinged Blackbird! Alas, they do not love SF - too cold. I do see them whenever I visit friends up or down the coast...
Robin, I think sometimes the *ordinary days* are the best....there has been so much going on of late, peace and quiet is something to cherish. And I well remember SF when it would be fogged in and gray; we were at the Presidio for several years....Loved SF!!! :-)
We have had so many dark rainy days, a day with blue skies and birds and things growing is wonderful! I took advantage of a walk today to capture more of Spring for the blog!
Anne, your photos are so beautiful. My heart goes out to all your fellow Americans who are having such a tragic time at the moment. I am relieved to know that you and yours are okay.
be still my happy spring-like heart! i cannot believe how rejuvenated i feel from a warm day and blue sky. i'm in the garden, anne, plotting and planning! i'm happy for all of us. i know the world is crazy and too many tragedies befall, but i know too that kind appreciation can only help.
& whenever did anyone start to think that ordinary was less-than fine? :^)
I am hot-footing it this morning, trying to do too much in too short a time again! Thanks for the comments on the photos and for stopping by; I need to get a new post on here but the brain and old father time and not cooperating today! LOL!!! Until I see you on your blogs~~~
That is such a pretty bird and really great shots of everything. Today we are having cool (62), windy weather, so I am spending a little bit of time blog reading instead of working outside. Plus a honeybee attacked me yesterday! I told hubby it was not the right time, but he got it on the eye while I got it on the neck. What a combination!

Redwing blackbirds are one of my favourite birds!
Love that redwing. Looks like a spectacular day! Aren't those "ordinary" days the most spectacular. xox Corrine

If only every day could be as ordinary. I will be donating to relief efforts in the South. Thank you for posting a link!
