One Perfect Photo......

....out of the many I shot yesterday......it was hard to choose, but when I opened this one on the screen, it begged to be chosen.
I could have filled this page with beautiful images of the flowering crabapple in the front yard as it has exploded into blossom and the directional light of the morning sun brought each flower, petal, leaf and branch to life. The scent was delicious in the early, damp air! Some buds intense pink, some soft, flowers in all stages of blooming.
Oh! How to narrow it down!
But still.....just one to say it all, for now.....

Pax.

Hey Pam,

It's kind of like me......hanging out there on the edge, in my own little world!
As I recall, the wind had blown enough to seperate the other limbs around it, so there it sat.
What luck!

Hi QMM!

I guess I am so lazy I never look at these as possible paintings, though if you want to, be my guest. I don't mind.
I am not a person who loves a lot of green, but this was an exception...... :)

This is so beautiful in its simplicity. It makes us aware of how the intricate beauty of the small parts makes the WOW of the whole!!
I LOVE the green faded out background. This one needs to be framed.

Thanks Audrey!

You know, the funny thing is I never print my photos. I take them basically for the blog and a record of things for myself, in the computer.
It struck me after this pic that *maybe* I should do something more with them......
I occasionally (well, frequently!) am so slow on the uptake! LOL!!!

totally perfect, anne. i find the the green background mesmerizing (okay so i can't spell it and no spell check) and there is something about the way certain greens and pinks go together to create a balanced calm.

i can see why you chose this anne.

sometimes, it's just the most beautiful world.

Anne Huskey-Lockard said...

Hi kj,

I am so glad I took time to shoot pics yesterday; it is already darkening here and we may be in for severe storms later, which means all those blossoms will be GONE.
UGH.
Indiana weather is....ooooooo...Mother Nature on a lot of bad hormone days!!!

Just gorgeous. Around here it turns from brown to green, we're going green right now!! hahahahha!!! Have some flowers I bought the other day at Home Depot...need to plant them before they die...I don't have much of a green thumb, it's mostly brown, like the sand around here!!

Love ya,
G

Anne Huskey-Lockard said...

Hey Georgina,

LOL!!!! Well, what happens here with flowers is from many years ago. I can barely bend to mess with them and they are sort of going *feral*.....
Each year it is a surprise that they return.
The majority of trees are slowly turning green, though there are a lot in the woods that are still in bud.It always gets very green overnight....

Feral flowers, what a concept, I like it. Beautiful photo, Anne. I almost never print my photos either but I enjoy letting my slideshow play and glancing at them that way. You should print and frame some for your home, or even for sale.

Anne Huskey-Lockard said...

hey Jan,

Isn't it odd how we take tons of pics and stick them in the computer?
Maybe I do need to do a floral screensaver....I can only look at the Misfits and Jerry sooooo much....LOL!!!
For Sale......two words I have not dealt with in a good while. ;)

Hi Diana,

All the redbuds in the woods are in bloom now---it looks like the whole was touched with a light magenta paintbrush. I forgot my camera on the trip to town...as usual......but it was gorgeous!

Oh Anne! So many flowers in this blog, I am jealous and envious and even more! The flowers are just about to open on the apple trees here, almost a month earlier than normal and tonite we are expecting serious cold that might freeze them over! If this happens, it means no apples in the trees around here this year! Keeping my fingers crossed! HAPPY WEEKEND DARLING! LuLu

Anne Huskey-Lockard said...

Hi Lulu,

We are expecting cold over the weekend, and I will be trying to find a sheet to cover my wisteria, which is opening at an alarming rate.
Everything is ahead of it's normal schedule.....except for the dandelions. ;)
Hope the cold misses you too!

Oooh...I so agree with the suggestions that you should make your photos into card sets...or....another mug? This photo is stunning and I can almost see it swaying gently in the breeze. The colours are fantastic! Ours are awhile away here, but at least we have a few daffodils out and the tulips are getting ready.

Hey Elena,

Gosh, I used to buy those Jolly Rancher candies by the sack. Loved the apple and watermelon. I have not thought about those in years, but reading about them made me remember the intense taste and, like Pavlovs dog and the bell---salivate!
Wonder if they still sell them????

Thanks you for such a sweet treat this Saturday night. That's it..I'm heading back over tomorrow first light to check mine out at the Lilac Gardens.

I don't know how you could pick just one. As you know that would probably just stress me out too much to have to narrow it down that much. I never got the "Simple but Perfect" thing into my crazy gardening brain. It's sort of like I plant to, kind of Helter Scatter all over with all kinds, but somehow it works. You should have seen how I just to paint...icks...

Have a delightful Sunday,
Kate

Hi Anne!!! Just popping in to say hello...and to answer your question...I always leave my rock art at the beach and hope that someone stumbles upon it and smiles!!!

Have a wonderful day!!!

Anne Huskey-Lockard said...

Hey Kate,

The only thing gardenwise that is *perfect* or *one* is here on the blog! My garden has always been a mess, as much as I try otherwise, and frankly, I find it interesting to see what has moved where!
If I had posted all the crabapple photos, well, it would have been as tall as the tree.... LOL!!!

Beautiful shot. It reminded me to download the photos I took of MY apple tree yesterday! I got a few good ones which makes me happy because this year I have the most blossoms of the 7 years that poor tree has survived here in the desert getting nibbled on by bugs and rabbits, hurt by drought and not enough loving from me.

Anne Huskey-Lockard said...

I frequently have photos IN the camera and then spend hours looking in the computer, wondering where they are......at some point, I may actually LEARN!
Glad you have blossoms!!!
