Great minds! The Lily of the Valley is beautiful this year. Love Dame's Rocket. I missed the rainbow...we desire it!

I got several shots of it; one was coming out of a rain cloud which was pretty cool. We had a full arc with the reflection, which I couldn't get in the camera---needed a wide angle lens. It was AMAZING!!!!
The lily of the valley have been beautiful, I think because of the cooler weather and lots of water.
Yours is MUCH better!

gorgeous rainbow photo!

I spent some time with our Lilies of the Valley yesterday - somebody mentioned that they couldn't find them anywhere around where they lived, so I dug some pips up and sent them off to her. The lovely scent of the blooms remained on my hands for hours - I love that smell!

I haven't seen Lilies of the Valley in years! They do not grow out here in the desert...they are such a wonderfully delicate flower. One thing we are going to do in 5 years when I retire is head east for SPRING the way I remember it! Azaleas, dogwood, lilacs, lilies of the valley - I so miss a "normal" spring!

I love lillies of the valley....I have awful clay soil and it has taken years for them to establish and get going, and they still are not quite as I would like.
If I had my way, I would have a whole large strip of the acre filled with them. Just let them run amuck and take what they might.
There is nothing like the scent and my little treat for myself, when I can find it, is good French soap scented with lily of the valley.
Linda, as beautiful as the desert photos are, I cannot imagine a Spring without some of the old *regulars*!!!! Yes, when you can travel, GO!!!!
