FINITO!!!

Popping in for a moment to say I have the green stole DONE, and I think all my pressure gauges are back into the normal range.....whatever that might be for me. LOL!
Probably somewhere between the high end of a pressure canner and the boilers that run steam plants.
I noticed my little Studio Assistant had posted for me in my absence and how sweet of the bird! In fact, I may put her to work on blog posting and let me have a break for a month, or until Blogger is behaving again. (oh yeah, that's like, ummmm, NEVER!)
I have, since Sunday, been fighting a migraine that has left me away from the computer for the most part, the blog has been ignored and per normal, I am running behind. I remember I had a teacher once who said, "You can't make up lost time, so quit trying".
There is great wisdom in the statement.
It has been an odd week thru the migraine haze; work still happened, I got to reconnect with one of my previous ministers and had a delightful time, was able to get a little research done but definitely not enough REST.
So over the weekend I will be doing some photos of the stole in ALL IT'S GLORY (and I am not being smug as it is glorious....) and HOPEFULLY have a good post on it by Monday.
Even with everything going berserk this week, it has been overall good with a lot of thinking, rethinking and doing. Odd how life throws you a curve ball now and then just to get you out of your comfort zone. Mine, of course, being where there is coffee and sweet rolls....*sigh*......
I also discovered I am getting very close to my 700th post.
Good Lord. Am I wordy or WHAT???? Rhetorical question~~no need to comment on that part.
I'll have to look around the studio and see if there can't be a little something for a *700th Give-Away*. With the dearth of posting I've been doing, it could be next month.
In the meantime, I thank all of you that have written and I try and reply to all who have e-mail addy's attached to their comments when I don't get to the blog. You all keep me going, and semi-sane.
I don't want to be all the way there; I cannot imagine total sanity as any fun what so ever.
Till I have photos of my latest creation, I bid you....

Pax....

Can't wait to see the stole completed. I already know it's stunning, but I still want to see its beauty!!!!
Sorry the migraine lasted SO long. That HAS to be difficult to deal with, Anne. I remember the days of the migraines. Unless you've experienced them, you can't understand what they do to you.

Hey Audrey,

We were stuck in a HUGE Low pressure system that just sort of swirled and would not move out. I *think*, almost afraid to say, that the head is going to be as okay as it gets today...LOL!!!
I am trying to think of the perfect background for the stole. Then will shoot GOOD photos.
I need YOUR camera!

I've had my head up my --s for just 2 days, even though it feels like "forever," I am looking forward to reading more and seeing the labor of your hard work, mi grain infused and all. My horrid migraine comes in human form and I forget every time, just how horrid it can be!! It's amazing how someone who came from your loins can be so different than yourself, a true pain in the butt!!

So, I'm off for some respite, ie. go to Miss Daisy's house to pick up a card table and chairs since we no longer have a dining room table and as much as I adore my little guys, I adore my new red couch and love seat too!! I'm strongly encouraging her to visit as many friends as possible and thankfully, she's obliging!! Pray that I last till 2ish Tuesday, when I return her to the airport!!

Loves ya,
G

ROFLMAO!!!!
Georgine, you are TRULY a breath of fresh air! You're the only person I know that can make me say, "Wow, I'm glad I had the migraine instead...."
You shall be on the list of those in dire need of divine intervention, to keep from throttling the offspring..... ;-D
Take it easy.
Or blame it on the heat and smoke; not enough oxygen to the brain.

Jeeeez, that's an intensely long time for a migraine. Ugh, sorry.

I'll bet the stole is beyond stunning! Looking forward to seeing it with the rest of your fans ;)

Striving for total sanity is like striving for perfection. B-O-R-I-N-G!!! I'm rather fond of the nutty, imperfect side of you :)

Have you read A Brain Wider Than The Sky? A very interesting book on migraines, even some info about famous artists is contained within the pages. Weather on girl!!

Anne Huskey-Lockard said...

Hey Lolo,

It started as a normal migraine then the weather just kept it going. I used to have them like this twice a month and have not had a monster in a long time.....but hey, at least work got done! :-)
Thinking where I will photograph the stole...need it to look GOOD!

Hey Ima,

No, I have not read that title but it sounds like one to add to my Amazon list. Usually I can sort of stagger through them and they leave exactly at the 72 hr point.
I think this week was *special*.....pfffft!
Off to look for a good photo backdrop.... :-)

Hey Jo, believe me, I need a *LOT* of me time, but I don't see it happening any time soon.

omgosh Janet...it can leave any time. I think when this weather gets moved through, it will be okay.
I just want to take a pain pill and SLEEP for about four days straight!

you are a dedicated artist, i can't imagine how it feels to suffer with a migraine, much less continue with all that you do. sending healing wishes for a speedy recovery to it.

looking forward to seeing the glorius green stole - it sounds amazing. always a sense of almost 'relieve' when a project is completed. migraines are buggers - i get them too. I find that when i emerge from the fog of pain and strange sensations i'm always just that bit more focused and connected to new ideas and insights - i see my migraines as a clearing of the cob webs albeit it a pretty damn painful way.

Hey Bella,

Trying to figure out the shooting set up here in the studio this afternoon~~need REALLY GOOD SHOTS! (and not the liquid kind either...LOL!!!)

Hey Clare,

It is odd you mentioned the after effects of migraines, because I have the same thing. It's like all the turbulence lets the creative part run amuck. I've solved problems during the duration of one, had ideas I scrawled down; it would be interesting if there was a study done with creatives and migraines and if this is common.
But I'm with you~~~there SURELY must be a nicer way to clear the cobwebs! ;-D

Oh how I wish you could find a med that would work for your migraines. Poor thing. Amazing that you got the stole finished with all of the health issues. And yes, the day after a migraine I am usually overflowing with energy and joy and just being in love with life. We weirdos need to stick together! Hope you feel better, like right NOW!

Hey Deb,

Isn't that just too strange?? I thought I was the *only one* with the post migraine oomph and ideas! (Let's face it, our brains ARE just too massive and super-powered!)
I am fighting with the camera at the moment~~hope to have a post up tomorrow *IF* the photos are good...
Ack.
And I'm stuck on you like stink on, well, you know! LOL!!!!
