And it's not all MINE. One of the delights of blogging is buying art from fellow bloggers. You read their blog, see their work, learn about the process and at some point you have to purchase.
La Cucina |
(okay, I admit that anything with *inkpunk* in the name immediately gets my attention; this from the woman contemplating a Sacred Heart tat....yeeeeaaah!)
I still do not know how Brian does these fine details...omg..... |
I went to his blog to buy ONE....okay? One.
But then I saw another, and they are affordable....and you know the rest. So in the top photo, his work flanks mine, and the framed piece on the counter is my Michael DeMeng piece. Hey, we have to be in good company, you know? ;-)
Anyway, I want to point you to a very nice post Brian did for all of us who had purchased his art, click HERE and then enjoy some of the myriad of beautiful geometric designs he produces with such finesse. They are amazing!
Oh.
Let me add this.
You could buy one too so that I don't feel so bad about blowing my budget.
It would make the blog-mistress very happy!
And now I am back to straightening fabric, which would not have been a good thing to blog about.....not when there is ART and COLOR!!!

Oh Anne-your are an art pusher!! But if you have to push something, art's a good thing to push!!
You are a pusher, I agree with Janet! His work is quite amazing, I checked out his blog. Love the vignette you have created in la cucina, is heart piece your?xox Corrine

Enjoyed our convo yesterday. Told DH about it and we both agreed, "one size doesn't fit all!" Have a great weekend and a safe one...hopefully the weather forecast will be kinder...now 114 days without rain here...oey!!
Loves ya,

Yes, Janet.....
I AM! I AM!!!! :-)
But I figure if I find some good art that is bright and happy, why not share the source???

Hey Corrine,
Yes, the heart in the middle is one of mine. I did a series of those; variations on the theme but all a red BG.
And yes, until it's illegal, I SHALL PUSH ART!!! :-D

Your title cracked me up! I'll check out these links, but I don't know where my kids are, how am I supposed to keep track of my art?
Hey Georgina,
Glad you enjoy Brian's work---I love his large pieces too.
And yes, I definitely have hit the age of *one size does not fit all*......maybe it used to but you know how we expand! LOL!!!!
Had a blast talking with you, oh Lady In Red!!!!

Other Lady In Red
Hey Karen,
ROFL!!!Well, if I had kids, I'd probably let them roam but I would ALWAYS know where the art was!!!
Definitely check out Brian~~cool work!
And I knew I needed a catchy title and the brain was taking one of it's normal vacations.....suddenly that thing we used to see on TV wandered through......thus, I pilfered, errrr, BORROWED and slightly changed! ;-D

Hi Anne!!!! I love your little art vignette!!!! and I love mini canvases....what fun!!!! you always inspire!!!
Hey Diana,
I still don't know how he paints those geometric patterns on small canvas! I'd have paint going everywhere....Guess I need my paper tidbits and gel medium!
I have really grown to love smaller canvas as they can be grouped or are perfectly affordable.
Little can say a LOT!

What a treat to have remembered to pop by. I do love your outlook on life and of course, those fab bold colors. Great display. Hope to send you some sun this afternoon, as it's finally showing face here just west of you.
Hi Kate!
Glad you came over~~and I'm going to be standing out on my studio steps waiting to grab that sun!!! ;-D
Seriously.....

Awe..... Brian's pieces look terrific there!!! I also love his work!!
Btw.... I'm contemplating my aztec sun log with the heart in the middle for a tattoo!! Let's do it!! : ))
Hey Manon!
That would be so cool!
I have to draw up what I want....probably have it on my wrist, and then there is the issue of MONEY...ahem.
Because I don't want something that looks like a prison tattoo!!! LOL!!!
That photo of you on Brian's post was great!

The tattooed chick
Pretty cool. Those geometric prints remind me of ....forgot what it was called, sigh,....back when I was young you could use this wheel, draw them, then color them in. That was always so much fun and very pretty too. Loved looking at it. Hope you guys have been doing ok with all of these storms passing through as I have been watching the weather, and telling hubby hope the pirate lady is ok!
Take Care!
Ulrike
You hit the nail on the head---that is why I love these so much. I used to have a Spirograph, and would spend hours with it...if fact, I think I wore one out.
But his are PAINTED!
Yep, the Pirate-Chick is okay up here; a bit soggy....think someone tied me to the mizzen-mast as we passed thru the last storm, but fine, thankfully! ;-D

I like the bottom one... .with all the beautiful colours... is that one of yours? ....
Hey Vee,
In the top photo, the bottom one is mine (as is the heart and the mirror up top).
Brian's work is beside mine and in the individual photo. He does these huge also....lots of detail. Would love a big one too! :-)

You know what you need under that lovely art display? A shrine or two. Get busy! :) At least you have your art up and displayed. Mine is stacked around the house waiting for me to pay attention to it. Next time I get a grouping, I will post. I love the way his work compliments yours. :) Happy weekend!! xox Pam
Pam, I need so many things, words do not describe! LOL!!! I do try to avoid anything that is not a canvas or under glass in the kitchen...with my exceptional house keeping skills.....*SNARF!*

I will check out his work later. I love his colors but personally I am more drawn to your work, it is what makes your display in the photo so fabulous.
