A Quick "THANK YOU"!!!

Beautiful winged shrine from Barbara Mason
I am hopping in quickly to say THANK YOU to two wonderful bloggers I met during One World One Heart~~and lucky ME~~I won a couple of prizes! (generally I am the last person on the planet to win something, so this was a nice surprise and also makes me wonder if the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse are getting the tack down and saddling up their steeds....say it ain't so!)
The winged shrine above is from Barbara Mason @ An Art Soul......Barbara, it could not have found a better home with my love of Nichos and Shrines in any form! :-)
Visit Barbara and enjoy her work!

Incredible digital collage sheet from Rian

The second item I won is from Rian in the Netherlands, from her blog Freubel-Art and the colors there are a sensory overload! Check out her digital work~~it is what I dream of doing and know it will never happen here! LOL! I mean, I have accepted my limits.
In fact, I am about to have a Blogger rant this morning, but that's not polite when thanking those who have been kind to you by sending you some of their art.
I BOW!!!
Mille Grazie!!!
As to my normal dose of pith and vinegar, I'll be back--give me a couple more days. I am frantically working through what is quickly becoming the end of two delightful months of my on-line class with Michael de Meng and I have to admit, my brain can manage only one direction at a time anymore, and sometimes even that is iffy!
But I have to include one of the color wash samples I made, and it pretty well speaks for itself.......

That sums up my current mental state.....what I am left to work with as opposed to nice, fleshy, thinking matter! LOL!!! I should have called it *Brain-Fart* but then it would have been a totally different selections of colors, and they might be icky, ya know....
BTW------It is going to be GIVE AWAY TIME here at El Milagro when I get my stuff together, so stay tuned!
Same Bat Time, Same Bat Channel!!! (if you're old enough to understand that, well, welcome to the club...)
And this is a nice give away too.....
Until I waft into blog-land again, swearing my way through trying to get another post up, I remain you loyal and mentally stained servant....

Pax....

Hey woman, I love your giveaways. I received mine yesterday. I'm not one to complain about not winning anything...Pam's stuff is my biggest prize ever!! My Muses corner is covered with Pam's stuff!! Does that make Pam my muse??? Not complaining if she is!! LOL

I'll blog next week about my prize, which is now included in the Muses corner. Love the shrine and like you, love shrines of any kind...well, maybe not all shrines!! That brain matter looks familiar!!

Look forward to your next installation of Anne's Blather...we do that, don't we!!?? LOL

Loves ya,
G

Hey Girls,

Yes, deMeng's class is a ball plus all the things you learn and get the mind going....so much that is useful in other applications.
Georgina, if the brain matter looks familiar I send you my sympathy. Actually after your weekend, I should create one called *Blended Brain*....as in, swirled, smooshed and reduced to a pulp??? ;-D
Okay, back to heating and frying paint, and hopefully not a finger like I did yesterday....

I didn't really watch Batman as it wasn't my kind of thing (I don't watch TV in general) but I remember that from my brother watching it! Lucky you. Hope that's just the start for this year! See ya soon.

Secret telling time!
I had the worst crush on Adam West as a kid....omg....we did NOT miss BAtman, eventhough my mother hated it with a passion! ;-D
As an ADULT watching it, there is so much double entendre in the show---it is hilarious!
Ah, for the days of Super-Heroes in semi-fitted tights.......

Hi Anne.
Great gifts you won!! It seems you had a great experience participating in OWOH and you've gained a number of new followers. Well deserved as your Blog is one of the best!
I am back from SC and trying to get caught up and I'm not gaining on it. Actually, the piles are already getting higher! HOW does this happen?
I am desperate to get my color wash posted and have an itsy chance on winning that little treasure from Michael. Of course, we are ALL wanting it, aren't we?? I hate seeing this class come to an end.
Nice to be back!

I am the same Audrey~~~I am so far behind, and trying to catch up!
Plus doing some backtracing on an IP that was here 7 hours and there were numerous downloads--whether just to see the item better or downloaded to save, that was enough to get my mind off art and into sleuthing.
Wish they would just say who they are....
Glad you're home! And yes, we ALL want that piece of eye-candy Michael is dangling!!!

LOL every time I read a post, you are too much. Bat phone, of course and a former Miss America at Cat woman right? Great sample of your DeMeng colors. All last week my teacher spoke of F.........menopause when the words wouldn't come, feel that way too, maybe that's it! Is there such a thing as menopause textures.....if so I got em in spades. Can't believe someone would pillage the site, not good, not good.....xox Corrine

Anne Huskey-Lockard said...

Hey Corrine,

Well, I am not sure it is pillaging, but I got the longitude and latitude and have a name and addy.
Hopefully it is just someone enjoying the site--I had this once before with someone in Michigan and they downloaded all my art.....scary....
Yeah, I better get the Bat-Signal on and call Commissioner Gordon to get him on the Bat-Phone! OMG...what a hoot!
I'm telling you, the brain side of *mental-pause* is just TOO MUCH! hahahahaha!!!!

Great winnings! I'm afraid I didn't get to visit even half of the participants, despite my best efforts to the contrary. I simply ran out of time.

Ha I thought I was receiving your "bat-signal" LOL

I don't look so good in tights anymore :-) but could I borrow the cape?

Bella, I think with all the wind we had here last night that my extra *Brain-Dust* flew out my ears and is out somewhere buried in the snow! LOL!!!
Maybe I should wear earplugs in the future...you think?? ;-D

Hey Girls,

No, we have to go for the good perfume and I think all of us women understand *brain-dust*.....not to be confused with house dust, dust cloth, dust mop, dust bunnies, or the evil act of DUSTING!!! ;-)
