(generally I am the last person on the planet to win something, so this was a nice surprise and also makes me wonder if the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse are getting the tack down and saddling up their steeds....say it ain't so!)

Incredible digital collage sheet from Rian

The second item I won is from Rian in the Netherlands, from her blog Freubel-Art and the colors there are a sensory overload! Check out her digital work~~it is what I dream of doing and know it will never happen here! LOL! I mean, I have accepted my limits.

In fact, I am about to have a Blogger rant this morning, but that's not polite when thanking those who have been kind to you by sending you some of their art.

As to my normal dose of pith and vinegar, I'll be back--give me a couple more days. I am frantically working through what is quickly becoming the end of two delightful months of my on-line class with Michael de Meng and I have to admit, my brain can manage only one direction at a time anymore, and sometimes even that is iffy!

But I have to include one of the color wash samples I made, and it pretty well speaks for itself.......

That sums up my current mental state.....what I am left to work with as opposed to nice, fleshy, thinking matter! LOL!!! I should have called it *Brain-Fart* but then it would have been a totally different selections of colors, and they might be icky, ya know....

BTW------It is going to be GIVE AWAY TIME here at El Milagro when I get my stuff together, so stay tuned!

I am off for a few more days on blog break; the work that has piled up is, well, staggering and I need to get a bit caught up before Spring thaw and grass-growing season......which leads to incessant mowing and tales of the John Deere.

I have managed to miss every other year of this wonderful event and am slipping in on birdie tailfeathers this year! WHEW! Well, I have to talk about *me* and my blog. I'd like to say I'm like the photo below all the time:

But in reality, when I am busy with art and photography, I am much more like this pic of DH and I taken at Halloween......yes, you've guessed I have a quirky sense of humor. (it's okay, laugh! p.s.......I'm the one in red....)

I am a mixed media artist, love photography and occasionally fill the blog with photos.......

  
But in between, I get art made, and that is when I am happiest.......

I do occasionally have to COOK for DH too, and sometimes photos of the kitchen experiments show up here....

Basically I am just a country girl at heart, with a warped Southern sense of humor, stuck in the hinterlands of northern Indiana and find joy in life and my studio, all the while pretending I am visiting New Orleans....

Just remember, the good brushes are always in the BioHazard container.....LOL!
 

WAIT! How did this slip in???? Oh well, it's what women really want.......ya know!
So.....enough about El Milagro and it's crazy blog mistress. Visit again, comment, laugh; for the most part, I try and keep it pretty light, even when we're learning something. Yes, I do occasionally put up tutorials; working on one at the moment, and yes, I forget I have pages that need construction....*Sigh* ........so much for a girl to remember!
