Busy Day.....

Good morning dear blogfriends......your blog-mistress finally has wheels and is off on an assortment of necessary but undesirable rounds. Just leaving you with a bit of eye-candy in the interim......I would rather be home chatting with YOU!
One of my shopping items is checking out an ergonomic mouse. Although I have been fairly *good* considering the source, I tend to spend a whopping amount of time on said computer and it's not the typing that gets me.....it's the mouse.
DH checked it out for me last evening and seems to think it will help. It is wireless, the right and left click are on the sides and it is bigger. I guess it is packaged so you can put your hand over it and feel it first. I hope it works!
Then there is post office and banking and groceries......AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!
CALGON! Take me away!!!! (now......)
Also on my "honey-do" list is getting the scythe out, sharpening it to a razor edge and going through the end of the acre cutting thistles. I am hoping DH or someone is here to get a photo of me in my *grim-reaper* outfit as I see a lot of humorous possibility and the idea of me being even remotely fashion conscious will be blown out of the water.....heehee! I'm not sure if it is the black cap with the Misfits logo on it or the black leather half gloves with the spikey studs....I'm telling you, I ooze sexuality!!! (more like dirt and stink....I hate this job....)
Anyway, I have rambled successfully about nothing now for a couple of paragraphs, so my blog fix is in for the day.
It seems that the general consensus is that when I do the give-away, a piece of original art is the main prize, (you can still leave an opinion on that here if you didn't get your say before) so when I get that cranked out, I'll do the official post and we can get started! I am hoping this weekend that can be accomplished, though there are a lot of giveaways going on right at the moment.
And now, off to my DH-appointed rounds.....well, most of them are just the usual, except I have a car today and the list has backed up.
Go make something exceptional, even if it is a silly face to make yourself laugh!  :-D

Pax.

I worked my little fingers to the bone yesterday puttting the finishing touches, or in this case, pulling weeds. DH got home by 5:00 & did the trimming so I guess we are ready for tomorrow's Tour!!
Showery today but nice tomorrow...
Have a good one!!

Oh Drat!!! Chores and errands! If only we could do away with those things ~ think how much more time we would have to create!!! I mut go into the consignment shop today to work on my space - haven't been there yet since my return from SC. Meeting tonight, laundry..... blah, blah, blah!
Yes, post pictures of the thistle whacker, please!!!! hahahaha
Have fun, Anne.

haha! My husband just bought a scythe to tackle the uneven grassy-lumpyness of this huge hard. It would be tough for a mower. I look out the window and say "Het Slingblade! How's it goin? Want any french fries??"

The neighbors finally caught on that I'm nuts. "Oh yeah, she's an artist!"

Errands are life's way of making us work for things we're grateful for ;)

I hope the new mouse works for you. No more seizing hands, hopefully.

OMG Pam, they are up to my shoulders and there are a LOT.
I couldn't take the heat today; went out, cut a few and came back in wheezing.
So they live one more day....or maybe after dinner....

Oh gawd Georgina....I hated every minute. It was extremely humid and hot and naturally everything took longer than I expected.
I think I'll wait for DH to try my new mouse....hopefully that will help.
And no, I will never enjoy WalMart! >:[

I can picture you in one of your Halloween costumes, the one where you were dressed in flowing red, I think you had horns on. Wear that when you use your scythe and you won't have to worry about asking Gary to take a photo of you, probably the local news would be there, snapping away for tonight's headline story!

Anne Huskey-Lockard said...

Oh Jan....Ah-hahahahaha!!!
Yeah, that would be good, but the red robe would get all snagged up!
I'll have some pics on here tomorrow.
You'll get a laugh.
And no, the local media wouldn't cover it. They don't cover anything!

Waiting waiting for the photo! I have an ergonomic mouse and keyboard and Love them. Actually, I loved my old mouse more but he died and they no longer make him. But they really do help. Although I don't type like I used to! **kisskiss** Deb

Photos tomorrow Deb!!! :D
Yeah, I like that mouse---the way it feels. Now I need to hook it up, though I am so tired from the yard, I may wait till morning....when I am groggy and clueless! HA!
Oh I am too fat for this yard work...

Oh dear Anne, I have been so busy with the grand's wedding and family reunion, etc, I almost missed the finish of your masterpiece. But I caught it in time and it is majestic. I would take anything that you made and be so happy with it. PR is what you are supposed to do when you are selling your art, letter rip.
Don't get all tired out again.

You in your grim reaper garb is an image to envision. For a soothing vision I posted a photo of Mary in my garden today. I am happy you are out and about.

Black leather gloves with spikes? ooh la la. Isn't that what every well dressed thistle whacker wears?

Beautiful rose, btw.
