Happy Sisterfriend Day!!! (& Happy No Housework Day!!!)

Sisterfriends are like the two large trunks of this tree,
one supporting the other, helping others to blossom,
protecting them and holding them up....
through everything.

I have to express apologies first off for not getting back to comments yesterday, nor blog hopping. I was buried in a mountain of paperwork that needed immediate attention.....a year's worth of medical papers, etc. I spent the whole morning, and I do mean WHOLE, sifting and sorting, reading and scratching my head, tagging and paper clipping, trying to get everything into some sort of logical order, then had a lot of work to enter on the computer. At 6:30 last evening, I gave it up. I could no longer see straight nor think! (well, the thinking is questionable even on the best of days...)
This morning I am down to about two hours of work, hopefully, and getting it done in between thunderstorms. I keep reminding myself that it was *I* who wanted Spring so badly, and I always forget that Spring here never is gentle and lovely......it flies across the landscape in the form of wicked storms and twisters. Pooey and yuck!
The flowering trees blossomed out overnight; everything in full bloom, and I scrambled for photos. I have waited before and awakened only to find a myriad of petals no longer on the trees, but strewn across the grass. Even the dandelions are putting on a show.....
I fully intend on celebrating No Housework Day by doing NOTHING related to housework, and to all my Sisterfriends out there, I send love and hugs. I think spending the day in PJs, relaxing and reading or snoozing (after the computer work) is a good way to celebrate. I would wish a pleasant day off for everyone---just to enjoy whatever makes you the happiest!
And now it's off to a few small details and then enjoying the time at hand.
Hugs to you, Sisterfriends, who hold me up through all the storms of life!!!

Pax.

Happy Sisterfriend Day to you too!
The paperwork...thankfully! (and none too soon) is done and I have been messing with my felting machine. I'm still trying to decide if you would like it. It works great with roving, but so-so with other things.
Maybe I just don't *get it*...yeah, there would be a first! LOL!!!
Have a good one, and remember---NO HOUSEWORK EITHER!!! Wine is allowed...♥♥♥

Hi Anne,
Oh dear, It's already Thursday here and I missed "sisterhood day"
I would have loved to spend the day in my PJ's and paint my day away, instead I did heaps of housework, book keeping and cooking. Grrh!
I hope you get all your papers sorted so you can go back to your studio and have some fun.

Wow, that picture in your post is fantastic. Is it one of your photos?
That would make a great painting!
Happy creating,
Hugs,
Anna

Madly jealous of your magnolia tree, missed you yesterday, but paperwork is so important and you know it's out of the way now. On to NO housework, now.

Anne Huskey-Lockard said...

Hi Anna,

Just make your own Sisterfriends day and declare housework illegal the rest of the time!!! HA!
The pic is from my front yard....my magnolia that is getting swatted with a thunderstorm.....pfffft!

Anne Huskey-Lockard said...

Hey Leslie,

That magnolia blooms about once every five years; the rest of the time it's an early freeze or something. Am losing half the petals to storms, so glad I got the pics when I did. I've learned the hard way.....
And NO HOUSEWORK!!!! :D

I am loving the flowers and trees blooming too, that is between the sneezing and weepy eyes. I hate to take the meds that help it so guess I will just shut up and put up with it. I took the day off too.
