WOO-WOO-WOO....And We're OFF!!!

This is absolutely not a visual reference to the surgeon I have now, because he is wonderful; this is more about my life this past year, of going from pillar to post trying to get patched back up into a semi-normal state of being!
As you read this, I will be on my way to my follow-up, which I am hoping will go good eventhough another issue has reared it's ugly head from *previous* physician, A.K.A., The Abominable Dr. Phibes........the knee that takes vacations when I really need it's support the most.
I have been trying for almost a solid year to get this addressed, and it kept being blown off. I was hoping that maybe once the hip was back in the right position and the leg relengthened, that the knee issues would solve themselves.
Oh no. I am most definitely Curly, of the trio. The other day it landed me on the floor, and as I laid there on my back, I would like to say I was only shouting out "WooWooWooWooWoo!!!" but I am afraid a few other words slipped into the atmosphere, turning it a most lovely shade of blue.
(ahem!)
So once again, Anne is having more adventures than she would like, and not the type I would like, but that is why I like the Stooges...because too many of their stunts echo my whole life! At least my sense of humor is still intact and I don't think my funny bone is fractured. If I did not laugh......well.....you know how that goes.
Sometime before the next millenium, I might get to post art on here again. You think???
At any rate, I hope everyone has a fun day and a creative day and that you aren't having an "Anne-moment"........I really don't want to pass them around.
I'd like to keep my blog-friends.
Until later.......

Pax.

Oh, Anne! Your knee? Mine are on my list of things that need repairing - lol! I wish there was some sort of Jiffy Lube I could take my poor old bod to (wait, that sounds obscene!).
The other day, I stomped down the stairs (I was in mid-yell at a teen) and the next day I could hardly walk. LOL! xoxoxoxox Pam

AH-HAHAHAHAHA!!!!!
About the Jiffy Lube!!!!
You caught me checking my e-mail before I go try and get human and gave me my laugh of the day!
Yeah, I need that for the OTHER knee; this one has had 2 or 3 cortisone shots and still takes off for parts unknown so there is another *issue*.
Gawd, ain't growin' old wonnerful- wonnerful???? (not)

XXOO!!

Oh that is too bad for you but on the other hand you could be the bionic woman by the end of the year. :) Hope all goes well and maybe time will get your knee back in shape hope you don't need more surgery. Hugs

Oh, Anne, I had no idea your knees were bothering you, or even worse going on strike when you need them most! I was thinking this doctor's visit was just a post surgery checkup! Well, hopefully, this can be addressed as well and after it's all said and done, you will be as good as new!!! Good luck today!! Much love, Silke

Hey y'all,

Had to do my OCD check in before hitting the road and I am so LAUGHING!!!!
You girls are TOO FUNNY!!!
@ Marilyn, yes, one up one down, and don't bother with VS bras....at our age, we need the medical grade lycra-spandex to support anything!
@ marianne, you bet it beats the alternative....but somedays it is damned frustrating!
@ Bunny.....if ONLY I were the Bionic Woman....thin, running in slow otion and young, hair flowing in the breeze.....HAHAHAHA!!!!
@ Silke, yes, this is a follow up BUT thanks to the tipsy, it is going to have to be a little more in depth.
I love all of you!!! WOO-WOO-WOO!!!

XXOO!!

Anne...I am serious here. Get a walking stick while to figure out what to do with the knee. You do not need to break the other hip...or anything else.

Anne, I have crafted a voodoo doll of the Abominable Dr. Phibes. At this very moment he is grabbing his right shoulder, oooo the left knee, AHHHHHH the family jewels!
Now don't you feel better! You're at the top of my prayer list, baby!

Anne, I hate to be stern, but you really need to use either a crutch or a walking stick. Why take a chance on taking a huge step backward in your recovery? - or, worse yet, reversing it?!

Ahem. Not that the stern lecture is over - hope your check up is fab and you can start art-ing again soon!!!

Again you crack me up and give me pause to think. Will you, fer Christ's Sweet Sake, TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF!

Thanks so much for your encouragement and such wonderful words. I really appreciate.

Good luck at the docs, and Tristan is right, you should use some type of apparatus.
Tell Marilyn I can show her how to roll them up and tuck them in so they don't move around and look pretty perky. Have a great day Anne, love and hugs!

That's it,just what the artdoctor ordered, you need an art cane! I've seen so many lately in various art/gift shops, beautiful carved curvy wood, or elaborately painted or...get out that Beadazzler lady and start customizing.
Seriously, hope the appt. went swimmingly and that your new doc has better ears and heard your knee complaint!

Oh Anne, You poor thing.
I wish I lived closer-I'd come and give you a big hug and share some hot chocolate or a sweet cup of tea with you!
I've got my fingers and toes crossed hoping your visit to the Doc goes well.
Take care,
Hugs,
Anna

I'm with you on the knee problems and I DO hope yours don't let you down any more. That's not fun even when you're not just getting over hip surgery. You really need to get yourself a really funky cane...bright red and festooned with some of those fun beads from Mardi Gras; some fluffy feathers and a whistle (just in case you have to call for the troops).
Take care of you!

I'm a little late checking in today. However, that's not all bad since I got to read all these humorous comments left for you.
So, I hope all went well today at your checkup and I truly hope there is some kind of quick fix for the knee deal. Geez, girl, things have got to get better for you!!

Anne I have the opposite problem. I have brand new knees now my hips are giving out. Been living with Arthur too long. He is taking over the old bod. Just do what you have to do but stay safe. That is the same thing I hear every day. I fell in the bath tub last night and hit my new (5 years old)knee and it hurt all night. To really be safe I would have to sit down and never get up.
Blessings

OMG, you crack me up. I bet the reason why you still look good considering all the problems you have been having is because of your incredible sense of humor. You are the mental ninja of humor! Take care Anne. Start being demanding. Love love!

I think you have received your stern warnings and proper admonitions so I am sending you a HUGE hug to wrap around yourself when you walk out of the doctor's office. Bionic is not so bad but it takes upkeep energies also girl. You and your wonderful sense of humor keep me stopping by...even when you have a rough day you can make us all smile. I have knee problems too, but it seems like ever since hitting the half dead mark (that's what hubby calls it!) everything falls apart!
