Well........REALLY!!!!

.......LOL!!!! Love to all of you that stopped by and commented yesterday! That face is for y'all, as I am sure none of you would have expected anything less!!!
Things went great----it is strictly muscle issues around the patella and I will be starting therapy tomorrow. My bionic hip is perfect, I don't have to see the doc for a year (do you think he was SICK OF ME already???) which is standard proceedure. He did say all the tissue would continue the healing process for the year, and that therapy for the knee was much better than continuing to get cortisone shots which are a short term fix and useless after two months.
Did you know when your knees are x-rayed from a certain angle your patella look like little hats? Very much like the short little top hat as opposed to the tall? It was one of the most interesting things I have seen! And how they look when the film is taken from the back of the leg? I was in heaven, rooting through all my films while the doc stepped out! (yes, I love anatomy....)
And BY THE WAY......he did not, I repeat, did NOT want me using a cane due to the fact that he wants my gait back to normal.
That's what the above face is for....... (she smirks a bit as she is typing this.....)
Seriously, I do love you all for your concern! And Deb's voodoo doll earns points, especially where she was grabbing it. >:-) You go girl.......

Now today it is back to finishing the studio rearrange which is almost done. I guess if the hip was fine after moving furniture, I am okay. :-D

And for Ces, here is proof I am a mental ninja (or a ninja that is mental more likely....)

See? I even have a special cap to keep all that *mentalness* in!!!! LOL!!!! I am not sure if this was from a Catholic school, due to the plaid jumper. After a while, one plaid looked pretty much the same as all the others! And yes, I have survive a lot of hard knocks due to my totally inappropriate sense of humor, which continues to roll right along. (even when I'm flat on my back on the floor wallowing like an inverted beetle......)
Now my dearies, quit worrying and get out there and create something wonderful, even if I am still playing "Bubba the Mover".
Have a wonderful day!
And I really do love all y'all!

Pax.

Great pictures, Anne!! So glad all went well with your Dr. appt. It sounds like you are truly on the way back to normalcy (physically, anyway) lol! ...just kidding, you know I love you.
It is great that therapy can help the knee and you won't have to have any more surgery.
I need to get ready - going for the annual boob flattening procedure this morning. FUN FUN FUN! I am nervous though. Ever since my surgery, I am always SO relieved to walk out with good news after. Keep your fingers crossed this morning.
Will you post pictures after you are finished redoing your studio?

Anne Huskey-Lockard said...

Oh Audrey....that reminded me that I need to work *THAT* little appointment into my schedule too.....I am thinking of you!
Yes, I'll post pics but it's nothing grand; the wet studio is much more entertaining. I think I will strip a lot of stuff off the walls for the short term and then decide what I want to put back up. Have accumulated a lot of *junque*, if you know what I mean!
Hope everything goes well for you!

That is GREAT news Anne, all around. I especially loved learning that you are mental as well. I always had a feeling that that's why I had to leave Germany, my mentalness, or maybe because my housekeeping skills aren't quite up to snuff!

We have family visiting, so I'll be brief with my comment. Loved your spy story on my blog - how did you know?!?

Love, Silke

Anne Huskey-Lockard said...

hey Silke,

the one thing I remember about Germany, above all else, were our Germany friends off-base and how CLEAN the homes were. I mean, it was so clean, you could perform surgery.
I never could have cut that.....there are other more entertaining things to get into! LOL!!!
I don't know where that silly spy comment came from---I saw the pic and away it flew!
Auf Weidersane! (sorry...that's spelled wrong...DH is the one who can speak and spell it....)

Glad to read all is well...I had to learn how to draw a patella when I was taking life drawing...actually, I enjoyed the pelvis sooo much more...both male and female...and don't get me started on the coccyx!!!!

Don't throw that cane away...you might want to use it as a "whacking" instrument some day...doctor's need a good whacking sometimes...real their sweet arses back to reality!!!

Kids left today after 5 days of one very opinioated, confrontational 31 year old daughter, (yes, she's still alive), one very quiet son-in-law who couldn't get a word in edgewise if he tried, and 4 little boys, 9, 7, 5, and 6 mos. Wanted to keep the littlest one....love those wet kisses and funny face!!

Take care and you're blog is probably the only one I'm responding to right now...you make me laugh!!

Love ya,
G

What a relief! This doesn't mean you should go tripping around the light fantastic! Although I suppose if that is what you want to do no one will be able to stop you.

What the heck does trip the light fantastic mean, anyway???

we have spatulas in our knees that look like little top hats? who knew? oh, wait... patellas...what the heck are patellas? I love that you know all this stuff. I would be snooping at my xrays if the doc left the room too, but I'd have no bleepin idea what I was lookin at... LOL. So glad to hear you're doing so well. May it continue! :)

*Tripping the Light Fantastic*---reference to dancing. Don't know if there actually was a dance called that but that's where it comes from.

Patella--the knee cap. Those little devils that can cause sooooo much trouble for their size. ;)
Surprisingly, if you have a good x-ray tech, it is amazing what you can see on a film. That's why they fascinate me---I just love the idea I am seeing inside my own body! Would have loved to have snitched the knee cap one......alas, I am filmless!

Hi Anna Rose,

Yep, I'm a therapy type gal. Though, I was very fortunate that the cortisone shots never hurt, and both docs that did them asked if I needed someone to hold my leg so as not to emasculate them.....I guess it really hurts some people?
Obviously my pain threshold is waaaaay up there.....or I'm just plain NUMB! LOL!!!
Now to get on with things! Yes!!!

Ye Gods and Goddesses, woman! You really do need to post a Spew Alert at the top of posts like this...

Did they do a sunrise view of your knee? That's the way they found my disappearing patella...

Anne Huskey-Lockard said...

Well Ces, I didn not do much today....does that pass muster??? I ate cinnamon rolls and talked and then soaked in a hot bubble bath and then knit and watched my favorite show, Bones.
I try and listen but sometimes things just go in one ear and out the other.
Maybe I need a single ear plug and super glue??? :D
