Pilfered From Tristan (Bargello Stole Photo).....and Blogger Dashboard.....

In all it's glory, on the young man for whom this stole was made, the combination of Tristan's amazing speed-sewing and my exceptionally obsessive piddling.........I could be no more thrilled seeing this! And I have to admit, there was divine intervention as the stole was delivered at 10:00 a.m. of the day the ordination took place at 3:00p.m. that afternoon! WHEW!!!
Now, for the Blogger Dashboard part? I don't know what is going on, but the post that this photo was in from Enchanted Revelry never showed up until, oh, yesterday or the day before.
I am finding more and more of people's blog posts show up hit and miss. Has something changed??? Is Blogger having issues? (please don't tell me it's my computer...I can't take anymore electrical hardware problems this week/month/year! Nooooooooooo.........)
I have a feeling there may have been posts made I wanted to read/respond to that I've not seen. And I am not sure how to try and figure this one out. If anyone has ever had this happen, let me know. If you think you have been ignored, please accept a general apology. I am not sure I am getting your updates!
I do run a semi-obselete version of I.E. and am thinking of switching to Google Chrome, but waiting to see what others think of it first; ease of use, learning curve, new browser issues, etc. I don't like change when I'm up to my ya-ya in things that need doing, and my mental capacity to learn and retain new system information at the moment is, well, compromised, shall we say??? (wink!)
At any rate, enjoy the photo for a comtemplative Sunday; there is a lot of joy in that smile and I am sure anticipation for a new purposeful life ahead.
Amen!

Pax.

Gorgeous stole! Isn't it funny how everything seems to happen just in the nick of time (as if this "happening" were actually passive)! Nice work.

Thanks Daniel!

Yes, it all fell into place in a most amazing manner.....and I am thankful it hade it to the owner in time!
I think there was some *help* in the timing of it all..... :)

Hi Anne.
Happy to see your electrical issues must have ended.
The stole looks perfect!!! How beautiful it looks on him. Very happy that this picture came through so we could all see the fruits of your (and Tristan's) work. The young man certainly does look handsome in it and he looks like he couldn't be any happier. Yes, I would say God had a hand in this stole story, as well.
My poor family in VA has had SO much snow to deal with ever since I left and there is more in store on Tuesday. I may not get to go back home. AND, it has been cold and rainy here in SC. Waaaaaaa!!
Have a blessed Sunday!

I haven't even read your entire post yet, but am too busy giggling over the play on words in your title. Pilfered/stole. Sorry, my warped sense of humour at work again!!

Hi Gypsy,

Yes, I still have electricity!!! YAY!
I love the pic, and thanks for pointing it out to me or I would never have even known about it due to the dashboard issues....go figure!
Going to try and accomplish something today....what...I don't know! LOL!!!

Hey Audrey,

My cousin lives in Richmond and I heard from her---she said she's not even trying to go out. Under all their snow is a layer of ice, so she is extra careful.
Horrid storm.....something we usually get.
You take care!!!

Wow, the stole is outrageously gorgeous!! I'm telling you, you and Tristan need to team up more often...you're both great talents and obviously, great chemistry the 2 of you create.

Now, is this an alter boy or an ordained minister...they're getting younger and younger these days!! Nah, I'm just getting older and older!! As far as blogger, I wouldn't know if I'm getting all my comments since I read what I have listed, so dun't know!! Take care and watch that bod...btw, enjoying the snow??? hahahahaha...i sooo bad!!

Love ya,
G

Anne Huskey-Lockard said...

Georgina, I would KICK YOU if I was able....LOL!!!
No, we are all just getting OLDER! That's what sucks, and this DID remind me of the fact! LOL!!!
we really did not get snow here---it was enough to just sort of get things white, so nothing to mess with.
I'm working on the banners today....have already crawled on the table twice and under once.
Not good ideas, to say the least....

Hi Anne! Doesn't he look happy and proud? And damn young. lol! Ah, well, in spite of his youthful vigor, I wish him all the best. He has a life of purpose, and that is something to admire. :) You two did GOOD. :) Okay, back to shoveling...or not. LOL!! xox

This stole is marvelous... I have an understanding of the bargello pattern and your work looks flawless!

Thanks for following my faux rug project ... it was difficult getting up and down! If I do another ... there will be knee pads!!

Hi TT!!

I am sure Tristane would be glowing with all the extra praise on the stole....I mean, his work was what MADE it!
I'm just glad I was pointed to the pic!
Thanks!

Hi Teri,

That was exactly what I thought of while following the faux rug. I did a HUGE floor with a variety of stains in the house in Walton, squares on point with a small dark square off point (straight...this makes no sense!) where the points would meet. It was hell on my already busted up knees.
I think you did a lovely job---I am sure you could advertise for that work! (but buy kneepads!!!)

The stole is stunning and obviously much enjoyed by the young man. I'm glad I got to see this photo.
I think I am missing some dashboard posts too because I just checked on Audrey's blog and I didn't see her last two posts. I dunno, maybe there are so many that the occasional one slips past as I go clicking around.

Anne, I saw the pic on Tristan's blog and thought it was WONDERFUL!!! Great job from both of you!

It is absolutely beautiful! The colors are fantastic, and the two of you did a wonderful job!
I, too, have noticed that the blogger dashboard has been doing some really, really, wierd things. So has facebook on some stuff, and I don't get on there that often. I guess I'll check into what Google chrome is all about....sometime...maybe I'll let you do it first! HA! I'm old, and beginning to understand this I do not like change bit!!!

Hello Anne, Oooh I love the image of this young priest! How beautiful!!!

I had used Google Chrome for a while, it's okay but sometimes dragging the photos in Edit mode is hard. I still use IE but I also use Safari and Firefox for other devices.

I love Chrome.

Anne Huskey-Lockard said...

Hi Ulrike,

I am glad you commented; I have had exactly the same problems. I can't help but wonder if some of the apps are geared for Google Chrome, or other browsers over what I have.
I'll be on the dashboard and scroll posts and suddenly everything jumps and stuff is gone, other stuff there......it has been a nightmare.
Gonna have to update my browser....UGH! I am too old to want to bother with it!!! WAH!!! ;)

Anne Huskey-Lockard said...

Hey Ces,

That was what I was wondering about with Chrome---how it worked with the blog. That was why I went back to IE because I had Foxfire and had all sorts of blog issues.
I am such a Luddite....I am assuming you do your blog in HTML?
I just do the *compose*......I'm too lazy to sit and learn.
No, I just have other things I want to do!!! :)

XXOO to Baldie!!!! You are so funny!
