Not Enough Time......

......I feel like a hamster in a wheel......too much to do and not nearly enough time. In fact, sad as it is, I may have to take a couple of days OFF BLOG (aaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhh!!!!) to catch up.
I got a new printer successfully installed, got some steam straightening of bargello work done so it can be cut and sewn, got the desk somewhat clean, but still a load of papers everywhere, have not touched my art and know there is no time today or tomorrow.
It is one of those pouty, grim, foot-stomping moments of life where you have to assess the necessary and ignore what your really want to be doing. Not that I don't want to be sewing; I just don't want to be cleaning, cooking and fighting the never ending laundry battle. And I can't put those off any longer. I am now *well* enough to resume a few of the duties and have a regular sleep pattern back so I can't paint in the middle of the night (I miss that one) and also am so far behind on visiting blogs that I am ashamed of myself....AND.....more new WELCOMES here.....  :-)
YIKES!!!! This is going into a spiral and I need to catch my breath before I hyperventilate as I type!
I did however get another piece in the "Java Love" section of my Zazzle store....STICKERS!!! Inexpensive way to satisfy the urge for, well, bright fun stuff! Click HERE if you feel the need to warm the plastic...LOL!!! (and the cockles of my heart!)

So, my friends, the blog mistress may be away a bit. (most of you who have read for long know I never am able to keep this promise....) Unless something extremely exciting happens that I absolutely MUST blither about.
The brain-dregs you've been getting are not fair. You deserve better.
Now I am off, to my appointed tasks, and I wish all of you fun, happiness, good art vibes and above all else...

Pax.

I too will be off more than on the blogs over the weekend. I have somthings to catch-up on. I have to get our "stuff" together to have our taxes filed & get it to the acountant. I am not a procrastinator at all as you can see.
Today??? I will find a project to work on while I hope to watch the last 2 segments of season 1 of The Tudors & even-maybe-hope-to finish a book I have been reading!! ...or take a nap!! LOL!!

Hey Marilyn,

I am just so far behind from moving at a snails pace and then having the hardware problems....it sort of all catches up! And the weather has moderated, which sounds like a good thing but it gets the OA kicked up, which makes me slower. HA! IS THAT POSSIBLE???? LOL!!!!
Gary always does the taxes; we have to wait for some paperwork thru the mail but as soon as it's in, he has it to our CPA in a day or so......he's like you in that respect. Just get it done and OUT!
I'm for watching the episodes and kicking back. I'd like to watch a movie, but too much to do..... <:)
Have a good one!

What are you talkin' about? I LOVE me some brain dregs in the morning! LOL! I can't handle much else this early. Not without more of that lovely substance you so beautifully painted. :) And you have a Zazzle shop? Is there a button here on the blog - I will go look at it! YAY! :) xox Pam

Anne Huskey-Lockard said...

Hey Pam!

If you look above the "Java Love" sticker, there is a blue "HERE"---just click that and if it just takes you to the sticker, you should be able to go on to the other items. I have kept it zoned in on this image at present due to *time* and the fact that the coffee heart is very commercial.....and I've done well with the mugs too---one more and I should hget enough in commission to get a check this month! HA!
I'm drinking my dregs at the moment......just NOT moving fast and I have to! LOL! Ain't it always that way??? ;)

I love dregs, but then I'm weird.... So you are having good luck with Zazzle - I like how you're advertising on Facebook - etc - to keep the momentum, add some more goodies. Cafe Press isn't working for me - I'm going to look at Zazzle this weekend - just realized it's been 5 days off my blog...yikes! I know you'll be back soon.....I think I'm a blithering idiot this morning....LOOOONG week.....

Anne Huskey-Lockard said...

Well thank you Linda!! Sometimes dregs are good! Wierd, but good! LOL! And I thought it was just *me*........
I'll e-mail you on Zazzle.....
Off to work here; the coffee has not kicked in and the iron pill from yesterday is still being mean. That may be the last one I take....OY.

Hi Anne sweetie...
I wanted to stop in today and introduce myself. I have seen you on so many blogs that I visit, and I decided it was time to introduce myself. I am Sherry @ Country Wings in Phoenix, and I just love your blog. I will be spending some time here I can tell.

I am sorry to hear that you are going to be away for awhile but totally understand the need to catch up. I know how that goes.

Please stop by and say hi. I would love to have you visit. I have signed up to follow your blog. Then I know when you post again and are back. I would be honored if you choose to follow my blog as well. It is so much fun meeting new friends and writing back and forth. This is so far better than when we had penpals as kids. The letters took forever to come.

Have a great time off. Happy Friday sweetie.

Country hugs, Sherry

Anne Huskey-Lockard said...

Hi Sherry!

Welcome to the madness!! LOL! It has just been one of those weeks where I got behind with creative work due to real-world issues, so I'm *hoping* if I can stay off here over the weekend (oh yeah...right Anne.....) that by Monday or Tuesday I will be caught up and ready to make and post art and humor again.
At least the humor part....I seem to have a lot of that!
Thansk for signing up and I'll be over to visit!

Hey Anne, I just ordered 4 sets of the Java note cards for my four daughters. They are real Java lovers.
I have thought about getting an online shop going, but I don't think I have the stamina to do that now. Good luck to you.

Anne Huskey-Lockard said...

Hey QMM,

THANK YOU!!!
Zazzle is so easy, especially when you are using something you already have painted or collaged or whatever your medium. You just decide what you want to make, and then if YOU promote it too (like here) you get extra commission.
Give it a look-see.
For me, being house bound at this point, it is perfect!
Againg, many thanks!

Will miss you like my luggage, my friend, but I'll continue sending anything funny your way in an email. So far I haven't gotten anything I consider funny. And you know, I've got to be on the floor, rolling around in sheer laughter for me to consider it funny!! Take care and get going on what needs to be done.

Love ya,
G

Thanks Georgina!
On a short *sit break*---things going well so can't complain. Waiting for an instruction to filter through....
Sometime when we are on the phone, I have a funny/not-funny story to tell you.
But I am afraid of my phone bill this month so hope I can remember it later! HA!

Hi Anne,
Arrggh, I know how you feel!
I too seem to spend so much time in front of this computer, doing bookwork, blogging and writing patterns-not much else seems to get done.

Take your time and do what really needs doing, we'll still be here when you get back.

Hm, not sure if this saying will help "What do you want to be remembered for after you've passed,
a clean house or a happy, creative young lass"
Sending big hugs,
Anna

Anne Huskey-Lockard said...

Anna---HA! Clean house??? Hasn't been that way in a long time! I would like a house that is not classified as a hazard zone.....LOL!! Just have some fiber work to get done, and that should be mostly finished this weekend. Can only stand so long to do it, which is the frustrating part (we've had another weather change so everything hurts) but I am forging ahead!
Isn't it amazing ow much time one spends on the computer???? <:O

There are days when I think blogging requires too much time. Then I think about how else would I spend my time if not for checking in on friends. Doing housework? Complaining? Nothing? NAAH.... I gotta reach out once in a bit to say helloooo out there... can anybody here me.... and KNOW... someone always says.... Hello the cottage.... and I can shout out ...Hello the colonial home!! Heheh.

Yes I too must peel away from time to time to catch up whatever that means.

tell me friend... do the colors your eyes see in your art.. are they in your home?
Hugs and prayers for your continued healing!!!

Leslie said...

Well poo, you are one of my daily bright spots. Take care of you, dollface.

Hmmmm? That design would make great dessert plates to go with the coffee cups, don't ya think?

Anne Huskey-Lockard said...

Hey Tammy,

This is sewing/paying work I have to take a break for. House work??? Nah....just shovel enough out that I can get through! LOL!!! I just got behind on the two-day printer adventure! ;)
I wouldn't give up my blog for anything---I love seeing how people are, what they're creating, etc. It is well worth the time!
I just need to move quicker, and that will come....
As to the house, my colors are pretty bland other than the front hall and it is painted bright red, and that's where the artwork is. I am working at filling all the walls.... :)

My goodness...you announce you're taking a blogging break and you still take time to respond to all our comments? You're not going to get anything done for yourself if you keep talking to us, y'know. Hop (well hobble might be the better word right now) to it, so you can get the necessaries out of the way.

so, you DID decide to steam and beat the thing back into alignment LOL

Be gentle with yourself...we are all so guilt ridden by what we should be doing...well I have one question ...WHO says??? I am anxiously waiting to receive my 15 ounce coffee mugs...I plan to fill them to the brim and enjoy my Hawaiian coffee I received for Christmas. Go do what you please...take care of the small stuff and the bills but then go CREATE! That is what you are meant to do and that is what makes you HAPPY! Anne Huskey-Lockard said...

Hey Tristan (you START you!),

I did not. I faniggled the fabric some, pulling and stretching gently. I was sort of fearful that if I did too much I might pop a seam. Have them both cut and let them hang on the board overnight---looking at them now and I think they will be fine. Plus, these NEVER are exactly side by side when worn, so a 1/16th" discrepency is not going to show.
You know you put this in the hands of an obsessive anal person when it comes to this work! Prayers, literally, are sewn in as I start the handsewing---these are special.
Your bargello is so wonderful.....I almost kept it and ran (waddled fast) away!!!! WINK!!!

Hey Mary Helen,

I can't wait to hear what you think of the mug(s)---and the first coffee from them! Was trying to explain the store to DH last evening and finally gave up.....I guess you just have to sit and read.
I just went to the royalty page and said "THIS!" and pointed! LOL!
The work I am doing is most enjoyable, and I DO have a bill I have to pop in the mail this a.m. Glad you reminded me!
And yes, I will take it easy!!! You too!
