Checking in .........

.....sorry for the simple ATC that probably will not show up on the dark BG. I scanned it instead of taking a pic. Lazy...well, no, actually SICK and not up to piddling with it.
I have pre-op clearance, right? Then I get a whopping sinus infection. A week from today is supposed to be *IT* and here I sit like a lump.
This was not how I planned to be spending this week, at all.
Life throws you curve balls and it's either swing or duck!
I got the two collage pieces totally done; they are very nice and pretty much what I wanted. They, of course, took some twist and turns on their own as most of my work does, but the end product is something I am most happy with. So tomorrow, or Friday, I'll try and have them on here.
As for the rest of my day, it's to the couch and hot tea and maybe a bit of knitting or reading in between the snoozing.
And we have no snow......rain-rain-rain. This is the one time in my life I wish I would have had a rain gauge! Thought we would lose the roof last night the wind was so strong! ICK.
Until I am more coherent, verbose, and at least in some capacity to make fun of myself and my decrepitude......
I bid you all the spirit of the season....

Pax.

Anne, I am sorry you are not feeling well. Hopefully, it will pass quickly. Actually, I went to bed early last night - felt like crap for some reason - tired, no energy, just not myself. Feeling better this morning after many hours of rest.
The angel ATC is fabulous, Anne. If you ever Etsy it, I MUST purchase - I have been collecting Angel ATCs for several years. It really is beautiful. I love the black and white and all the detail!
Tea and toast....chicken soup....you know the drill!! BE WELL!!!

Never the less it smells wonderful here......
I hope you feel better real soon.

Hey Anne,
You sound very miserable, you poor lovey.
Thank you, the larger JPEG did come through nicely. I tried to email you again, but it didn't want to go through.
Sounds like you need a few days rest, you must get better before your big operation.
Stay warm and cozy,
Hugs,
Anna

We could have sailed a ship on the water we received yesterday. Today it is trying like the dickens to snow. the wind is mighty... blowing right through the walls... or so it feels. I'm sad that your not well again. I had to have a surgery to remove polyps in my nasal passages. Since then, not one sinus infection. Not one. Best thing I did for myself. I'm keeping you in my daily prayers friend. Hugs. Tammy

Hey Tammy,

We have gotten a smidge of snow here....just enough to see it but the wind is wicked. My studio is really cold; I'm taking a break from the couch, where I seem to be much happier. HAd to make a little evergreen *tree* with embossed ornaments to tuck in a Christmas card for a friend who is on hard times. This is the first year of his life he has no tree....so I made a tiny limb from pine print paper and then wired the ornaments on, put some German glass glitter...it's kind oof neat!
Oh my....I feel like Dorothy in Kansas before the storm hit! YIKES!!!!

XXOO!!
Anne....better go run water in case we lose power.....

Please take care of you...sinus infections are no fun I know. I finally discovered the use of a saline wash up my nose (yew, gross) and I got through the summer allergies (which always end up in my sinus') relatively unscathed. I'm rather hoping Santa will bring me a neti pot so I can make my own solution & not resort to buying pre-made stuff. If you want more info, let me know & I'll get the brand name of the one I use.
Your angel atc is so elegant!

Anne Huskey-Lockard said...

Hey all,

I'm surviving this....MA, the doc asked me once about a neti pot. I, thanks to an imbecile P.E. teacher, was almost drowned, and cannot get water up the nose. I panic. I flat out told him there was NO WAY that would happen, no matter how hard I might try. Nose spray is even a tough one. So it's Cipro and anything else to loosen the junk! (dynamite would be helpful...)
Thnaks everyone on the ATC!!!

Magpie's Mumblings said...

Anne - I'm claustrophobic so putting 'stuff' up my nose panics me too. After the first few times I got used to it and the benefits far outweigh the fear. I don't like it, but I do it.

Anne Huskey-Lockard said...

Hmmmm......well, I might have to suck it up and try it.
I am a wuss with things like this! HA!
