Still running and running.......

.......I sort of feel like the little red guy with the flames! ;-)
It's getting that time of year that I want to decorate for Halloween; haven't even thought of digging things out.
I did manage to get myself way too tired the other day on my work-a-thon and spent a good portion of Saturday snoozing on the couch. I'd like to say "watching TV and knitting" but the TV was on and I was holding the knitting and snoring......that doesn't count as either.
None the less, the rest seemed to help and let me head off to a great church service yesterday, then home to try and keep DH comfy and get him healthier.
I did have a chance to rip apart a cheap frame, paint it red and think I will do something orientally inspired, collage of course, while giving the hip, hands and back a rest from the sewing. I seemed to have forgotten that a whole day of it leaves me immobile the next.......I don't know the meaning of the word *moderation*.
No.
Not at all.
I have to find a good balance of sewing to standing time. (need to take a Sharpie and write that on the machine)
Today, if DH is at work, it's studio time. If he's home, it may be "go visit the doctor" time. And that leads me back to the title of the post.....the harder I try and sit still, the more I go. I'm remembering a science class....something about "A body in motion STAYS in motion"......I should have paid more attention! LOL!
Anyway, I'm hoping everyone's Monday is the start of a great week and a productive and fun one too, but take some time to smell the roses before they fade!

Pax.

I LOVE the skulls! Dia de los Muertos is really big out here in Tucson - huge parades and everything....me - I usually turn the lights out so I don't have to pass out candy....I'm a Grinch, since I'm around kids all the time, I want to be alone (said Garbo-ish)...

I napped as well. Delicious, isn't it?!

Moderation? What's that???????
Great skulls ~ I love them! Years ago did you ever think we, as grown women, would be "into" skulls? LOL!
Have a good day, Anne.

Linda--

LOL!!!!You're not a Grinch--Sometimes enough is enough. I love DOTD but little here in the hinterlands other than what I fins to decorate with. Logansport has a large Hispanic population; I need to check their bakeries for Pan de Muerto.

Audrey,

Unfortunately we sound the same....work till you drop, then drag your sorry you-know-what back up and start over. I really need to take it more seriously for my health.
And it is funny that we are so attached to the skull image---I find myself in Hot Topic buying T-shirts w/skulls. The kids working there get the biggest kick out of it! First it's, "Can I help you ma'am?" then we're talking music, concerts, etc when they see I'm shopping for myself. LOL!
I refuse to grow up!

Like Jimmie Buffett says, "I'm growing older but not up." Love those skulls. How can a skull look so cheerful?

Anne Huskey-Lockard said...

Meri,

The black and white one reminds me of Posadas Calaveras.....it has a diffeent appeal than the rest, doesn't it?

Jan,

A skull can look that cheerful because it doesn't have anything to worry about!!!! LOL!!!!
Love the Day of the Dead items....I just live in the wrong part of the country.....sigh!

Anne - I'm so sorry to hear about the DH. Sounds like you need a brigade of chicken soup. Wish I was closer, so I could lend a hand. Feel better, rest, rest, rest, rest.

Thank you for stopping by and I need to tell you I really enjoy your blog and insight into another artist's life. Balance is a difficult proposition to hold and maintain so hang in there.
