I'm Late!!!! I'm Late!!!!

Channeling the rabbit from Alice in Wonderland, or" Anne in what-ever-the-blankity-blank land" it is I live in! LOL!
First off, DH is doing incredibly better which means I am doing better. All you girls understand that one.... and second, my hiding from his germs in the wet studio yesterday produced an actual piece of ART which I will post with the story behind it tomorrow. I was pleased---it is a simple thing but I like it and will hang it in my front hallway with all the art I receive/buy from friends and some of my own. I am slowly filling the hall and yes, Pam, your little Skellie-guy is in there! And Tristan, your fiber piece is there too. One of these days, I will try and photograph the hall to post, because it truly is my gallery and is fun.
Now to some more distressing news with the hip. My cousin is an OR nurse, and she spoke with one of their Orthos about my case and lets just sum this up by saying the prospects are not good. There is a reason I have had the pain I do......and I will be pursuing some other options. I'm glad I have art to post tomorrow because I am going to have to get back to sewing again, to get the banners done and then start checking out some other measures for myself and the hip.
And oh shoot----I have another follower to welcome----WELCOME!!!!!! Sorry this is so far in the post; I'm a bit brain addled this morning. Occasionally, by some miracle, I do actually post art here! LOL!!!! It's just been a strange ride this summer.
So for now, I am going to get on with the day and finish the back of the artwork I did (seal the frame so it all doesn't fall out--HA!) and will get pics to post tomorrow---I PROMISE!!!
Thanks for all your concern and thoughts and prayers for the medical adventures we have been having......I would much prefer adventures something like in the Pirates of the Caribbean, with Cap'n Jack Sparrow >:-)
....but you play the hand you're dealt.
And besides, I'd get seasick.......
Now dang it, if I can produce a decent piece of art in basically ONE DAY with hubs home sick, you all go out and have a super productive, fun, creative day and remember to use your time well because who knows what is on the plate tomorrow.
I bid you, as always,

Pax.

Anne - we can take seasick pills, I mean, come on JACK SPARROW!!! :) I'm so glad you're feeling a little more perky, as is the DH. Sorry to hear about your hip. Dang. Your hip and my knee - let's go to a parts store! :) Can't wait to see your new piece, and I am proud to have my little skelly painting hanging out with such talent. :) xox Pam

I don't like the tone of your information regarding your hip but unfortunately it is probably what you were expecting. That must have been good therapy to be able to produce a satisfying piece of art on such a day. Good for you! I'm looking forward to seeing it. Really glad DH is doing better and hope you both continue on that way.

Pam,

Yeah, I forgot about Dramamine!!! Jack Sparrow......yum!!!! ;)
The problem with *parts stores for the body* is they involve surgeons.....HA!
I'm off to photograph the piece; have to find the batteries for the camera. Oy. Aging is such a challenge.

Hey Jan,

I owe you an e-mail---more hip detail then.
I was sooooo happy to get my little piece of art done---it wore me out but a good worn out! It is on the chair, awaiting me to put on the photographer's hat and do my thing. And I bet it will be a pip to photograph....

Happy to hear Hubs is on the mend....sorry to hear about the hip.....glad you are creating in spite of it all! I look forward to reading about your daily adventures! As I tell MYSELF often, YOU as well, will never know the meaning of the word "bored".

Glad the DH is on the mend. So proud of you, you actually got into the studio and did some work. Now, I'm wondering, why are you making art and not selling it. You sound like me, I make something, I end up falling in love and then keep it...some bidness women we are. My daughter always reprimands me for doing that!! And neither of us have any work from each other to hand on our walls, I think we need to remedy that, my friend!! LOL

As for your hip, sorry to hear about that. Did you tell your cousin your physicians were from the school of Machiavelli & Mengele!!?? At this point, just take it one day at a time...that said, I need to take this moment and move on.

ooxx and lots of them too!!

Audrey, you know, I always wanted an exciting life as a child. I thought when I grew up I would have great adventures.
Well!
This is NOT AT ALL what I had in mind!!! LOL!
But I am taking it one step at a time and getting all my little ducks in a row and trying to figure out on the to-do list what needs attention and what I can live without doing. (cleaning for one....)
I'm just hanging in!!!

Georgina---ROFLMAO...PIMP!!!!!
Yes, basically that was what I told her, and when she talked with one of her Ortho friends, he went berserk.
Why don't I sell my stuff....good question. I make money on the banners, I know it is semi-steady work. I guess I need to talk with someone about an Etsy shop (which I set up) but need advice on pricing, etc, what sells, yadda yadda.
This piece is a larger piece, framed, and something I did just for me to keep ME happy for a day. You know, no worrying, no stress, zoning out in art land. So that sort of answers your question???
Yes, we need art on each others walls!

XXOO!!! and hanging in...

What is this about your hip? Hopefully nothing to serious. I'm happy to hear you and the hubs are feeling better. I'm really fighting this thing hard. Trying very hard to get my butt up and in gear again. Lord this is a nasty one. I still don't have it as bad as some but it is no fun.

Can't wait to see your new piece. I too need to get my touche' in gear and get to work. Tomorrow is a better day.
Hugs
