A Day Off

Yes, I'm doing it. And I did most of yesterday afternoon too. Rest time. Sock knitting time. Soaking in a big warm bubble bath until I nodded off. A good movie and chocolate ice cream.
You know, it's not that hard to do..........of course I'll pay for all this on Monday, but it's not Monday yet, is it??? ;-)
May you have a wonderful restful day, blue skies and something to make you happy!

I think you need that rest, Anne. You'll make up for lost time when you feel better. Beautiful pic! We get some amazing sunsets like that out back over our woods. :) Today we're having a chill-out day, too. Might go apple picking, or to the county fair, or just stay home. LOL! Take care xox Pam

COCOLATE ICE CREAM! I want some! I want some! OOOOH That sounds so good taking time off. Take care dear Anne, I shall think of you when I paint today!

I used to love to go to the local orchards (used to be a lot more) and when you walked in that smell of the mix of apple varieties was just pure heaven. Overwhelming. :)
Have a Dr. appt tomorrow that I am scared stiff of, so trying to pamper myself a bit before then....hip again.
I gues I'll have to mark *Can-Can Dancer* off my to-do list.......LOL!!!
Have loved seeing your little stuffed guys and gals on facebook and your blog too!

P.S. Staying home is good too!

Hi Ces,

The ice cream was the cheapest they had, and it was DELISH!!! Deep chocolate and not too sweet, just the way I like it. A BIG bowl; I don't care about my waistline that is taking off for parts unknown. That's what girdles are for, and I admit, I own them! So I can eat what I want!
Enjoy your painting!!!!

enjoy your day off ... I plan on doing exactly the same thing! But, no chocolate ice cream for me - I have caramel cone crunch waiting in the freezer!

Isn't being a ground slug LOVELY?!

Anne Huskey-Lockard said...

Tristan...I think I could really get into being a SLUG!!! Seems I have gone nonstop for so long that even when I'm sitting, I fel guilty.
And that's not right!
Have a good *slug-day*!!!

hmmm, "guilty" is the optimum word here..geeze! as much as i love my playtime work..i catch myself feeling guilty when i want to just sit and watch a movie!...
let alone choc ice cream and a bubble! and i have no police here... haha..
I wonder if i am becoming a "slave" to all my stuff? lol!
Happy relaxing today, Anne!..
will be thinking of you tomorrow... hugs and XOXO!

I think it is the world in which we live; we are to work ourselves to death and then let the gov. take a goodly chunk in taxes! (okay, I say that in jest.....sort of)
It is hard to relax because everything tells us go-go-GO!!!
I just got done watching a streamed church service, and it was the most wonderful *downtime*.
And no guilt!
And there was no guilt with the ice cream either... ;) I pick my *guilts*!!!! LOL!!!!
Have a good one today!

chocolate and bubble bath - that's the way to go! I'll be sending you white light tomorrow as you're at the doctor's. And I'm sure a group of us could be persuaded to join ninja forces and get the doctor to FIX you!!

Jan said...

Enjoy your day, you deserve it. I would like a day like you describe but we have to can beans today so it will be awhile before I can get to the chocolate. Take care.

Anne Huskey-Lockard said...

Linda...ooooooo, I like Ninja forces!!! LOL! and there's still more chocolate ice cream, so that is this evenings meal! ( no joke...not cooking)
I am sure things will be as okay as possible; I just want answers and to get this stuff moving. No patience.

Anne Huskey-Lockard said...

Jan, I haven't canned beans in so long I think I probably would blow up the pressure canner! I used to do it so much, I did it by rote....and you definitely deserve chocolate. LOTS!
Am bleaching the head now, a day-off activity I had scheduled. Want to look stunning, not stunned....
Good luck with the project!

I hope your enjoyed your Restful Saturday and are continuing to rest on Sunday! I am in what Tom calls, Little Mommy Heaven ... our son, daughter and son in law are all "home" and I am cooking and loving it!!

Anne Huskey-Lockard said...

Teri---sounds good! Enjoy the family time!
And yes, I am resting. To heck with everything!!!

Days off can be good; we all need time to rejuvenate now and again. Ces, am jealous you are painting today, but so happy for you. I have no ice cream, either, but am doubly happy to have some time to work in my studio today. Good thing we all have days off on different days!

Anne Huskey-Lockard said...

ROFL!!!! Nope, it pretty well sums it up; I'll deal with Monday, or Tuesday!, when it comes! I'm never caught up anyway.....

Indulge away. Great sky shot too.

Sky pics are one of my favorites, though usually the best ones are after bad storms....which I do not enjoy AT ALL.
Oh well..... <:)
