Collage Quilt From Tristan

I have had this hanging for over a week now in my front entry hall. Each day I kept thinking, "I must photograph that and post it to the blog to show what I got from Tristan." Each day I would stand, mesmerized by all the intricate pieces of the work, and of course, put off the photography for another day.
Having read Tristan's blog yesterday, I was completely shamed into getting this done! (yes, sadly gentle readers, I procrastinate and get lazy.....)
So here, in all it's amazing glory, is the piece of art promised in a blog swap we were involved in, oh, I can't remember how long back. To quote the maker, "It just kept growing. Like fungus!"
And a very fine fungus at that!!!
Please click on the pix so you can see all the detail that went into this......it's unbelievable!
(beautiful rusted pieces against shiny things...)

(a little tart tin for a BIG tart!!!)

(pretty sure this is me......)

And my gosh.....this fits waaaaaaay too well!
Thank you Tristan! For your time, your exceptional effort and above all else, your friendship.
My world is a richer place with you in it. (and my hallway too!)
Now all of you, repeat after me.......
"GO MAKE ART!!!!!"

Hey Gayle---you're still breathing and among the living!
And no penance either!!!!
Thanks for stopping by! And give yourself a break, would ya?

Hi Bunny,

Don't you love Tristan's work? I'm still standing and staring at it, trying to take in all the pieces and totally unrelated items that make it wonderful!

WOW! And WOW! This piece is outstanding. Did I say WOW?
Anne, you must be so happy to own this piece of art. I would be thrilled to have this hanging in my home. It truly is a beauty. It is easy to see the time and thought that Tristan put into this. Thanks for showing it.

I am thrilled and way to happy to show it off! The pix still don't do the whole justice.
And it's heavy too! I had it on a pin in foamcore to photograph it and quickly retrieved it off the floor. So it got hung on the metal office cabinets crammed full of fabric......

Perfectly perfect in every way for you. Great job, Tristan and you are a lucky woman to have this thing of beauty for your very own.

Leslie, yes, it IS perfect for me, especially the woman and the quote! HA!

I'm glad I can inspire others to the same heights of lunacy I experience on a daily basis.......oh, you said "do-dad lunacy".

Thanks from coming over from Tristan's delightful blog! And thanks for the nice words about mine!
Please come back as you have time---art happens, sometimes---and sometimes it's just photos or a rant until I can get the art being made posted!

Hi Bonnie---welcome! Being Mistress of your own Universe is a GOOD thing! ;) That seems to be how I function in mine too....for better or worse....LOL!
And hey, the world is moving so very, very fast. I am SURE it could not be us getting older, but I sincerely love the Bloggosphere and have had such a delightful time with the people I've met. It's worth it for me trying the get out of second gear in the morning!
Come visit and comment freely! (time stands still here.....)
