Studio Color....

I've been lucky to spend a good deal of time in the studio since the last post. Granted, most of it has been this Spring-motivated urge to clean and purge (before it swallows me into a pile!) but there has been some fun stuff too.

The texture of knitting with varied yarns...oh so yummy. Can't get enough!

These fine little knit and felted hearts, pattern shared from Silke and waiting for little tiny embellishments to be sewn on. (to cover the holes where it didn't quite felt....these are a learning curve...)

And YARN! Noro YARN!
It looks like Spring and the Summer flowerbeds and knits up soft and dreamy. A stash indulgence....but is it a *stash* item when things are getting knit from it? Hmmmmm......I wonder.....

Between cleaning and sorting, I allowed myself some creative time and this is what developed from moments well spent. I think I could enjoy a dozen cards like this. Dear Frida and the parakeet. Sweet Amor!

And this sight makes me happy! Six hats knit, and hopefully one more before next Wednesday, to take and share. Fun, funky, bright. Bringing life and light into dark corners.
Life is very, very good indeed!
Color in the studio and color in my heart~~hopefully yours too.
Let it overflow.

Anne - You are like me, you like some color :)) The hats are so sweet, and I know they will be a light to whoever takes one. And those cards! Swooning. Okay, I am off to try and do some outside stuff before the weeds take over. Things are growing by leaps and bounds! xox

Debra, I am such a color hound....the brighter the better! I'll definitely be one of those little old ladies in day-glo colors that clash! hahaha!!!

Pam,

Same stuff here--trying to work inside and outside at the same time. ACK!!! My junk piles grow and the flowerbeds are, well, hopeless probably.
But I persevere! :-)

Your creativity is bubbling right along, I love your knit hats, especially the multi colored one in that last photo. You go girl!

Hey Terra,

If it's the one I think, it is out of the new Noro yarn. It is the oddest stuff, wrapped on a nonwoven strand. Fun to knit though and extremely soft when worked up.
My creativity is alive and well, even if a bit scattered at the moment! LOL!

Hey Susie,

My secret? Bulky yarn and large needles. The hats still look really nice but can be knit quick. Most importantly, they are stretchy and soft to wear.
Yep, I'll have it done....I just have to decide which yarn to use! LOL!

~you could teach me a thing or two about color!!! i love looking at bright vivid colors but always resist working with them...strange little bird i am...but trying to open my eyes to new...

you look like you are exploding with creativity at the moment...your hats...keep creating as i know it is not only medicinal for you but for those who receive them as well...the tags you created...the perfect little added touch...and then this card...just gorgeous...be well and much love light and blessings~

Hey Kim,

Yes, I knit. Usually socks with thin yarn and tiny needles. The hats have been a JOY as they work up quick. :-)
I was happy with the Frida card....just piddling in between cleaning. Shut the brain off, seems to work better that way.

Brandi~~Anne's color theory.
The more REALLY BRIGHT COLORS, the BETTER!!! Let them clash---rainbow's have every color and are admired for that.
So why not everything else???
I consider color (and the more the merrier) a visual feast that improves spirits and warms the soul.
And it's just plain FUN too! :-)

Loving the Freda card. I am crocheting a crazy afghan using all the stashed yard my gd gave me since she is going to college and says no time for crocheting. Like you I love settling down with my snuzzle work. Like you idea of the rainbow.

Look at all this beautifulness! I just love the pictures. How are you darling? I haven't forgotten you. We had a death in the family. My father's best friend and our cousin. It's been crazy, but all is well. I am working to finish up some projects and trying to be wife and mom and take care of everything and I'm tired he he he he he! Life. It's a wonderful thing. I ain't complaining. God is so good to us. Hope that you are feeling better everyday Sweetie. Love you so much!
