Today the sewing table is temporarily transformed into an art table again. I will be doing a tele-class with Sarah Bush at 3:00 p.m. today, and wanted everything ready to go. The piece of art on the right is what came out of the last class~~it hangs in my kitchen and brings light to my life daily.
Other goodies in order and waiting:
A limited palette plus collage medium and an assortment of well *loved* brushes. A big tin of different pens for mark making.
Stamps, die cuts, ink pads, a preview of two papers I hope to use......
Other papers at the ready, along with scissors, though usually I just tear as it provides a softer edge.
No TV, no news, no bad energy going out.
Just good energy from art, in hopes that somewhere there is a little more it can connect with, and a bit more, and a bit more.
And that we can finally move past tragedy into healing and peace.
Pax....

Love that! Good energy going out. That's what I'm doing today. Keeping the peace and love in my little corner here, creating with joy and keeping everything else out! Have fun with your class!! Love, Silke
Anne! Can't wait to see what you make! have a great day.
Anne, I think making art on a day like today is the perfect thing to do. I, too, feel a need to make something with my hands. I need to charge my batteries and look for opportunities to give this old world some help when I can. In there somewhere, is time for counting my blessings. :)) I hope you have a wonderful day, my friend. xox Pam
Me too Silke!
I can't wait till this afternoon for the class to start~~~am anxious to see what I produce.
Good vibes here too!

Anne
ME either Janet!
It will either be great, or a big mess, but either way it will be fun and good for the creativity to get grinding away.
I'll post it, regardless of quality....LOL!!!

Anne
Same here Pam, it seems like the right thing to do. And I do count my blessings daily....every time I am in the studio I am reminded of how lucky I am, and if I forget, I have three little PEEP-MEISTERS that remind me how lucky I am to have THEM!!! ;-D
Have a creative day my friend....

I'm so jealous!! LOL Today is a great day for creating art...too much sad mojo going on, so today is perfect!! Have a great time and remember those of us who have to pick up people at the airport in less than an hour, take them back to said mother's house, then lunch, then back home and maybe, just maybe, get a little time in for some art...whew, tired already!!
Loves ya,
G
Georgina, I will think of you all day....and send you good vibes~~catch them!
Time to pump up the love in the world...
Hope your trip goes well!

this is what i try to feel (and send out) too anne, instead of the sorrow and anger i sometimes feel, i'd rather go with the love. have a wonderful time in your class, sending big hugs and love to you.
Anne, the most striking thing about this post, to me, is HOW NEAT YOUR WORK AREA IS!!!! How do you do that? My creativity area is a MESS! I would love being able to see a nice clean area in front of me. Maybe that's why I'm in a slump. LOL!
I like your thoughts on pumping up the love in the world. Today is a good day to start!!!
Have fun with your class this afternoon. Eager to see what you make. It will be wonderful, I know!!!!
Still having internet problems, off and on. Trying very hard to keep the "Grrrr Face" away. Being thankful I was able to post a comment.
It is a beautiful beautiful day! I hope to use it well.
xxxxx audrey
Lori, living in the military, I have to deal with so much negativity, that I have had to make limits on things. I just choose to send out love, quietly, in my own way.
Otherwise, I think I would have lost what little mind I had left, because every day, DH and I deal with a LOAD of bad stuff.
Tis better to love and be thankful.....♥

Audrey dear!
LOL! The worktable is neat because I had to shovel it off for today's class~~usually it is completely covered with whatever I am doing and all the necessary and unnecessary components! You know what I mean....
Sorry about the internet issues; we had so much fog here the other day ours was down till the sun burned it off. Like London fog....it's hard being *off-line* though it does help to get work done. (heehee!)
Will post my art--good or bad!

Wow, Anne, love your supplies and they are all ready and waiting. Hmmmm, want some of those stamps!
Love your sentiment for today xo
Cathy, I have enough stamps (sadly!) that you could probably stick some in your pockets, and walk out and I would never know it.
I am a sucker for unmounted sales, and thus have built an odd and interesting collection.
Abundant love to you my friend~~♥

Enjoy your class, put that good mojo out there Anne, like I know is in your heart, your super tough soul and heart lady. Somehow it felt important to feel my body this morning so I split some wood, connected to the earth and felt that sun on my back. Hugs! xox Corrine
Ah Corrine,
An equally good pastime; except not for this body of mine!
Now scything.....maybe later in the day after class. Meditative and constructive too!
Have a good one!

Oooh, gimme some of those good art vibes...you can never have too much, eh? So good to see you excited for the class, Anne. I'm sure you'll create something awesome! :) oxx
Can't wait to see what the day brings!! I talk about you and your art work often!! Your ears must be ringing lots!!!
Zzzzzzztt!
Sending good art vibes your way Amalia!
It was a super fun class--I still have some work to finish my piece (paint acted odd today) but love it anyway!

Anne
Hey Robbie,
You mean this ringing is YOUR FAULT??? (and I thought it was from bands way too loud...*sigh*)
Had a great time--will have the art up in a few days on blog.

Anne
That looks like an interesting collection of supplies. I look forward to seeing what cool work you produce from them! My creative work was done with berries (made jam) and beans (canned dilly beans) and I didn't even go in the studio today other than to close the blinds against the sun. Ahhhh, the sun! I worship it! I hope you had a wonderful creative time with the work shop!
Your supplies look like they're going to turn into something wonderful, Anne. Can't wait to see. What fun!
It was a fun class April!
I'm still doing some fine tuning but other than that, pretty much done.
It is a timed 90 class, 7 1/2 minutes for each technique so you work fast and the brain shuts off. Amazing how freeing, even when nonperfect, the whole thing is.
I highly recommend it to anyone!!!

Anne
Hey Jan,
Your day sounds great! I'm thinking that is as creative as mine was, and a little more productive overall too. Mmmmmmm...jam!
I'll have to post a photo of the work table in aftermath....LOL!!!
It looks like it was hit with a hurricane!

Anne
It's all so neat! Can't wait to see how you muck it up.... creatively of course.
Pumping love into the world with you Anne!
Peace and love be with us all.
I hope you had a wonderful class.
Hey Jo,
It is a little *mucked* at the moment--I have some clean up and detail to finish but the class is so fun and really makes you move without a lot of thought and dithering.
Which I need!

Anne
Had a BALL Marie~~it's something you would enjoy too just to let your hair down and do a little something different.
I don't promo a lot of things, but I do this because it is so adaptable....
Great time!

i can't wait to see what you do with all these supplies and fine embellishments. isn't it so great to know this is how you are going to spend your day? myself, i manage to squeak about a full day a month doing exactly what i want, which polishing words.
this makes me happy for you, anne.
