Out Of The Fog....

....more or less.....

Two weeks of illness blur is equal to watching fog lift slowly.

But even in that, there were some good moments, some beautiful like the one above, captured in the wet of morning, dew shining like little diamonds on the web! Sun soon ready to burn away the gray blanket across the fields, but leaving a bit of magic.
I have been GOOD. (mark that in red on your calenders kiddies.....)
Rest, rest, rest.
Staying away from the computer for the most part.
Reading a lot~~which was very nice. Time to catch up.
Doing a bit of handwork in between many, many naps.
Feeling a little more human today and trying to decide how long the energy will last. (long enough for errands? at least a few?)
I am NOT a good patient on the best of days and yes, I did spend a bit of studio time yesterday without too much guilt. Just little things, but sufficient that I have the worktable almost clear, another project in the works--well, parts all spread out--and a piece hanging in the house. The final solutions for it came to me in my fog. (maybe it's good for us once in a while...to slooooooow down.....) It finally spoke, I listened and proceeded cautiously as it  had been such a stinker to tell me what it wanted to be finished properly. Need to get photos to post.
Sorry I have missed your blogs and other items; sometimes you just have to disconnect a bit.
Hoping next week to be up and at 'em and full of pith again.
I miss my pith.
And I need to make sure there are no typos in that previous sentence! LOL!

Pax....

So good to hear that you are on the mend. Continue on, going slow for best results.

Hey Cathy,

Slowly on the mend!
I have to admit I was running out in the sopping wet in bunny slippers to get that photo; I probably should have been *IN*, but you know how it goes with the perfect photo! :-)

I have a hard time with webs and the auto focus on the camera. Sometimes *I* see them, but it doesn't. This was so heavy with water though....well, how could it miss???

Hey Karen,
I have to admit, I've felt a bit like I've been in suspended animation....just like the water on that web.
Two weeks have seemed AGES in *Anne-Time*. I'm sure it was a YEAR.... ;-D
Taking my time working back to full speed. Not hurrying at all.

You are a smart lady, Anne, to take that needed rest. It is hard to do when we creative souls want to be busy from morning till night. Until our bodies tell us different, we push and push and push.
I hope the worst is behind you and the blurs are wearing off. You sound better and I hope you really do take your time in working back to full speed.
I am eager to see what you created during the time you spent in your studio. Sometimes when we are moving a little slower physically, it puts our minds in a state of tranquility and the art is a little different than our usual mix.
SO happy to see this post. GORGEOUS WEB, Anne!!!

Amalia, dear, I have been awful at visiting any blogs so no need to apologize!
I am on the mend, and I honestly believe my body just said "Hey! STUPID! Enough!!!".......and two weeks down.
And a 2 hour nap this afternoon that was delicious!
Getting rested is WONDERFUL! :-)

So glad that you're feeling somewhat mended. Just don't rush the process! Sometimes an enforced rest is a good thing for an artist because it then lets the brain cells act in full force. Take care of you!!

Anne Huskey-Lockard said...

Well M.A.~~I will just say it.
I went and overdid it today and am paying dearly tonight. So a weekend of REST is on the agenda.
If I just did not need to bank or buy groceries...LOL!!! ;-D
And yes, I have to be forced to rest...

perhaps you should don a pith helmet for your re-entry! You made me laugh about typos!

I know how you feel though. man, coming out of the fog into the light is tough even though we feel compelled to be "present."
I can tell you we'll be here whan you're up to coming back.

Gorgeous web. WOW!!

fantastic capture of the spider net! Glad you are recovering and getting your spunk back. Take it easy, we don't want you relapsing.

Jan said...

Hey, are you tweeting now? Got too sick of FB?

Anne Huskey-Lockard said...

Hey Lori,

You bet that photo made me feel GOOD! I don't often get the chance to shoot those out in the open (not in the flowerbed) where there is so much detail. Loved the idea of it being on the clothesline~~like it was hanging to dry! :-)

Anne Huskey-Lockard said...

Thanks Jan,

I know you've had some nice web captured from using ink on them and fabric~~this one would probably have been good for that.
Well, without the water on it.
I am seriously thinking about moving off Face Book altogether. Too many changes, especially things that deal with privacy of who can see what. Fed up with their constant tinkering. May check out Google+ and see how it looks.
And I tweet a whole lot less than the birds do! LOL!!!!

Keep well love the photo.

Hey Bunny!

Good to hear from you~~I think we're having a competition to see who can have the most parts worked on....LOL!
Glad things are going well and I cannot imagine typing with one hand. I can barely peck out anything readable with two! LOL!
Hope everything progresses good and fast for you!

Hey April,

Some of the webs are soooo easy to see and other you have to look for. I walked through some single strings of web and the wet hit my face but I never did see the silk. It was the funniest feeling!
Thanks on the photo~~I am happy with it!
