Remembering Gypsy......
For those of us that had the privilege of reading "Gypsy Lulu Delights", we knew a warm and wonderful soul who was taken from us far too soon.
I still have the link to her blog, though no longer there; it is a reminder to me of the wonderful woman who was a ray of sunshine, par excellance.
Today would have been her birthday, and at the request of her daughter, we are letting loose a colorful balloon in her memory.
But she was not *one* balloon...she was the whole sky brimming full!!!
To you my dear friend, coloring the clouds of heaven.....you will always be remembered.
With love, and being thankful I called you *friend*.....
Pax Domini sit semper vo biscum.....

So sorry for the loss of your friend Anne. I'm reminded of when Renee left us. She is still so missed. ::hugs::
Had Jeannie been here longer, I am sure she would have had the same impact...just a void that never leaves, you know?
Thanks Gloria~~

Bella you would so have enjoyed her; artist, quilter, sense of humor and never afraid to explore something new!
And that is what I need to remember too!

Pam, wasn't she always FUN??? I mean, even when she wasn't well, she still was amazingly humorous. That I should have that disposition....I would be blessed!

What a loving tribute to a friend. She looks like a gentle soul, but with a name like Gypsy you know there was a special spark there. xox Corrime

Anne, I love this tribute to your friend....lovely images of the bright balloons soaring.... I am sorry I did not know her...but, if she was anything like Renee, then she was a special lady indeed.
Sending hugs,
♥ Robin ♥
Oh my goodness what an amazing post she would have loved all those balloons. She sure was my dear sweet wonderful friend. I miss her so much it has been a difficult day for me thankfully I was with our little quilt group and we remembered all the fun times we all had together.
She loved you too Anne.
Oops that photo was taken here at our house thought I recognized the Jerusalem cross on the wall behind her.
Hi Robin,
She was a Tennessee version of Renee; sweet and funny and talented. Oh my, you would have loved her so!!! Jeannie was just one of a kind... ;-)

Hey Bunny,
I can imagine it was difficult for you all today; loved you post and the real balloons being sent UP!!! (we have had rain and severe weather, so I had to improvise, but I don't think Jeannie would mind!)
Here is to having known her, and loved her, and been gifted with her friendship.
What a joy!

What a wonderful tribute bringing a bit of joy to a sad day. I'm so sorry for your loss and the loss to her family.
hugs,
Christine
Christine, you would have loved her and she would have thoroughly enjoyed your bead work. Jeannie had a massive bead collection....I mean the "To keel over, fight and cry for" type!
She sent me a lovely fabric bead and charm bracelet.....it is a delight indeed!

Peace be with you dear friend.... I can hardly believe it has been a year. Remember her smile and hold her in your heart. Peace, Mary Helen
Beautiful, Anne. It is nice that this made so many people think of Gypsy today.

I remember you saying in the past that she was all about color. She would have loved these balloons!!
I can see so much in her lovely face. I'm glad you had her as a friend, even though not long enough.
beautiful.♥
Hi Anne,
I tried to post a note on my mamacita's birthday but guess it didn't work. I wanted to tell you how much your friendship meant to Gypsy. She spoke of you fondly and often mentioned to me what you were up to. Her blog friends all were a treasure to her and I know she's still around in spirit, loving all the wonderful things you all said about her! I can hear her now saying, uh-huh, uh-huh, now, yeah, that's right.
Dana, Gypsy's daughter
Thanks so much for stopping by Dana!
You don't know how much your words mean to me,and yes, I think your mother would have loved the cyber-birthday-party! ;-D
I can here her saying the same.....and yes, she *IS* still around for us in spirit. She is on my "Memorials" page always. That anyone who wanders there sees a wonderful lady who lived life fully and gave much joy to others.
Bless your heart Dana....♥♥♥
