In The Sky.....

Dear Readers,

This post was brought together before the heinous and devastating weather hit our Southern States. (I have been away all day and am now catching up) It was with deep sadness and a heavy heart that I read of the toll that weather took on our brothers and sisters in the overnight hours.
My prayers and heart go out to all who have been wrenched from a life they knew, have suffered ultimate loss and hope that soon some of the church agencies throughout our country will be helping our brethren in desperate need.
May you all be blessed, and kept safe from harm.

Anne

In the sky, there are white billowing anvils......

There are mountains so tall the sun stretches to peek over....

Cotton candy colors; they seem to say, "Can you dream THIS BIG???"

And at the end of everything, the eye of God, to say goodnight......

Pax....

Clouds can lift us up and take us away if we allow it. Wednesday's bird and branches is a neat one.

What beautiful shots!! It's so sad that this beauty can also turn into such destruction. So many have lost their lives and others their homes. It's so sad....but thanks for showing us the beauty as well!

Stormy sweetness! That's the only term I could come up with to show the beauty behind the power of the storms.
The cotton candy one is almost exactly like a pastel drawing my friend has in her house. They must have passed through Indiana ;)

We're expecting T-storms today and tonight. Not likely we;ll see tornadoes, but they are happening here occasionaly.

Stay safe!

Anne, these photos are beautiful. The skies over the South were not so kind last night. Thank you for the reminder of the beauty that is above us most of the time.

I'm glad to see your post this morning. I can't get my yahoo email to open so am checking blogs. Looks like you are safe and that's good. I didn't hear of tornados in Indiana but one never knows. Beautiful photos, I will look at them later again on my bigger monitor.

Wow, spectacular shots Anne, makes us feel very very small in the face of that wonder. Hope you are safe in your neck of the woods, wild weather afoot. xox Corrine

Hey all,

I apologize for not answering personally; I have been gone all day and am trying to catch up on e-mail and work.
It was a poorly timed post (I pre-schedule), after seeing the other, ugly, vicious side of weather at it's worst and is a reminder for all of us that live in these mercurial States that life is precious and fleeting.
May you all be safe, where ever you are.
Thank you for stopping by today.

Same here. I have photos of a sparring match in the sky as soon as I get my camera back. We are just sitting her mildewing.

I know. My heart goes out to each of them as well. I cannot believe all of the devastation right now. :( Glad to hear you are safe.

Beautiful photos Anne. It is hard to believe that such beauty can also bring with it destruction.
