While I Should Have Been Working........

.....well, I've been DISTRACTED. Uh huh, I hear those little snickers of laughter. You know me.

Do a search for "Wordle" and you'll get the most used words on your blog......FUN!
What can I say?
It takes so little. *sigh*
I am still working on the house and studio, and managed to get one table CLEAN, as in, I can see almost all of the top. That, in and of itself, is a miracle. But little things get me sidetracked. Like this:

Yeah, I couldn't resist the pattern or the price. It lights the studio up like a bonfire. (it matches the flames on my car too, sooooo, it had to come home)
And then there were these Doc Marten's I could not, repeat, NOT RESIST.....and they kind of got me a little sidetracked too.....

Oh yeah!!!! These totally ROCK! Ed Hardy tattoo/argyles to finish off the mix!
They are just so *me*. And another purchase at a good price! (yes I am a tightwad of frightening proportions)
Remember I said I was thinking about doing a tutorial at the same time I was trying to clean? Like that was going to happen.....ha. Not in this lifetime or the next, but it will get up here soon. Anyway, here is a sneak peek at one of the things I want to cover; pattern on printed paper.

Sorry, no nail polish that day.....but I am digging some Blood Red Nails now!
It is fun, easy and painless.
Unless you drop a book on your foot while digging through piles. Please don't let me think I'm the only one with too many books....
Well, just a short pop in so you know I have not been sucked up the sweeper or actually become a good little housewife and am worrying that my whites are not bright enough or how I'm going to get those pesky stains out of the grout on the kitchen floor.
That's what throw rugs are for.
You throw them down, it's covered up.
Easy.
And now, I need to pretend like I'm going to get something of merit accomplished so until later....which hopefully will be the paper tute.....

Pax....

Great socks and the shoes are awesome. I was hooked on Wordle back in 2008. Every day a new one would pop up in my blog. It was a lot of fun. Haven't been there for some time so perhaps I'll go see if my account is still active. Yours is fun since it all pertains to ART. Looks like you are having some fun. Enjoy.

You didn't find those shoes at walmart! I'll bet you could decorate your own and sell them for lotsa money.

Glad that you have such happy feet today. Maybe I will wear my plain brown Docs in your honor for a change. Enjoy! the cleaning will wait, dance around on your rug in your new shoes today.

Your tutorial sounds intriguing.

Anne - I bet that rug covers lots of dust bunnies, and maybe shocks them to death at the same time - LOL!! It is SO you, and I love it. Now I am wondering if there is a skelly rug out there. :) Of course, I would have to put it in my bedroom, since i don't have a studio...boo hoo. Haha! Oh, I have SUCH problems (not). xoxo! Pam

I'd say there is nothing tame about your style! A flaming rug indeed. It will be fun unless you cover it with too many books! I used to have bunches of books but I gave most of them to the library. Something had to go and they were chosen for the sacrifice. I still have more than enough. Don't wear those new boots out for garden chores!

Woohoo I love all the color! Now when you clean you can sweep it under the rug to make a quick job of it hehe!

Wow, what a burst of color - I'm even not minding the bleeding eyes...too much ;)I'm gonna go give my boots a makeover!

I have been gone all day delivering cards, etc. I really need to make art but I think the next 24 hours I'll be printing card orders. hey, it keeps me in wine ;P

Well I can see it spring around your place, purple polish and fab new tools, cleaning and new rug and new shoes. I am getting visuals of you in apron, red nails, shorts, argyles, white t-shirt with the sleeves rolled up, bandana on your head, and docs, dancing on the flame rug with visions of plyers and drill bits dancing in your head!!
Have a great weekend being creative and dancing!!
Happy April!

Oh I forgot the the leather apron in black with studs.
LOL!

Marie S said...

No don't go there, not those kind of studs.
Well it is a dream, if you want studs, have them!
LOL!!

Anne Huskey-Lockard said...

YES! YES! I want studs in my dream! And on the leather apron too~~~ah-hahahahahaha!!!!!!
Sounds good Marie, better than the cruddy pick up and put away I've been doing! Trying to get done to make it out to the yard for a bit of work before the day disappears....
In my dreams....heehee! ;-D

Love the rug, the Docs and of course, the socks. All fabulous art. I need to have another look at Wordle - the one on my blog looks very boring compared with yours. oxo

You are hilarious, you know that? :D

I'm glad you got sidetracked. It's always good to stop and buy a new fire rug every once in a while. Hehehe... And those Docs?? Man, I sure hope they have bouncy soles too! I can just imagine you bouncing around town in those. :)

Take care! oxx

that rug is hot and wild!! what art you will create with that fire under your feet!

speaking of feet: those are the coolest boots. i've never seen a pair like that and now i will be looking to spot someone wearing them. my god, anne, between the rug and your boots, the creative charges are going to shoot to your head in 3 seconds flat.

it's nice to be here.
