Will you always hold me?
Wrap about me as the winds blow cold? When I am no longer lovely and bright,
Will you still be there?
As my glorious colors fade
Will you, too?
Oh no, for life is more than a just season,
But rather the joy of one passing to another.
And as they do,
I shall hold you close
And finally, we will melt into the twilight~~
Dimming slowly,
But forever as
One.
Pax….

Oh, Anne! What a lovely poem. And the photo is perfect for it. You are so dang talented! :) xox!!
Beautiful photo, Anne, and I love the poem. The beauty of Fall is poetry in itself, don't you think?
I have a house full of guests for the weekend ~ Patrick's burial is tomorrow. I am thankful it's going to be a beautiful day.

Lovely photo and poem! I did get my blog list back. As mysteriously as it disappeared-it reappeared.

Lovely photo and poem, Anne.
Your blog is looking good, very clean. Glad you are getting the issues resolved, I would truly miss your blog were you to stop. I'd have to go back and read your archives or something!
*sigh*
I reinstalled Firefox and that has solved some of the other issues.
I like the blog better and will work as I have time on the links, etc--getting them on pages. :)
Tweak, tweak....LOL!!!

Beautiful poem Anne for a lovely time of year. It has the sound of romance and candle light in it.

Good morning ALL!
(Anne crashed very early last evening and slept in late....ooops!)
A quick little story on the leaves:
I found them in the yard exactly as they are in the photo, and when I saw them, it reminded me of an elderly couple holding hands and walking---I just thought the positioning of them was so SWEET and having it happen randomly, well, I had to shoot it and preserve it.
And the poem, like everything else here, just dribbled out of the brain while studying the photo.
I am sure that is not an award winning photo, but I think it speaks volumns more than some of the award winners I have seen.
And no, Chickory, I did not cut the cord! LOL!!!! ;D
Hugs to you all!

The photo is perfect for your beautiful poem - the leaves appear to be embracing, still full of love, in color, even as the edges curl and age, surrounded by the graying and fading light... lovely, really. xox K

Anne....the sniffly blog-mistress ;)
Awwwww, just....beautiful. Two leaves spooning. And the poem is touching. Each season is beautiful in its own right, isn't it.
I love watching elderly people walking hand in hand. Awwwwww
Love this, as it reminds me to "embrace" the change of seasons, and not just be waiting for spring!
LOL Gayle--I'm waiting for snow and winter.....yep, sickko that I am!
And then I wait for Spring, and then I could skip Summer and go right back to Autumn! I just love it!
Good to *see* you; know you're as busy as a hopping flea!
