Fall Aster, happily donning the bright purples of the season....
A spider in cloak so rich, it must be preparing for Halloween!
The gold of Goldenrod, back lit by the setting sun....
And Maples touch by faerie paint brushes!
The color so rich, my patience so little.
Hurry Autumn!
Pax....

Beautiful pictures Anne! And is that some purple I see?! Beautiful flowers!
I also am of little patience! ;)
Hey Cathy,
That aster is growing like crazy in the unmowed section of the yard, lots of it. And yes, I had to go into a photo program to bring to purple up to where it is on the flowers.....some day, I'll read the camera manual.
But not today! ;)

That spider is awesome - he needs to join to Halloween picture you tinkered with...think what great mugs you could make for Zazzle (mug shots, hee hee) - okay, so it's early......
No Linda, actually it is not early to put good out there! That would make a heck of a mug, but I'll tell you one girl that could not drink from it! ;)
Although, the spider was amazing and large too.....

The Queen has been tinkering with the spider picture....making it more ominous, while waiting for the internet to get back up.
Please remind me I love living in the middle of nowhere....yes...I guess I do because it gives me beautiful photo fodder!

Lovely photos, Anne...but you can keep that creepy looking spider, even if Halloween is coming up!! :D
Thinking of you and wishing you good things. Much love. xo
PS The Harrington Manor Halloween party is coming up VERY soon. Hope to see you there all dressed up and with a spooky guest!! :)
Hey Sophia!
I'm thinking me and my spider would make a dazzling Halloween couple.
And at my age, I certainly don't have to dress for the occasion....just carry a broom! LOL!!!

Oh Anne!!! Fabuloso! Even the spider, and I never thought I'd say a spider looked pretty, but you really caught his good side. We are expecting triple digits this weekend end and I am not happy about that at all, not one bit. Think cool thoughts for me. **blows kisses** Deb
Hey Deb,
It is still miserable and warm here, though it *looks* otherwise.
I hate spiders---scared to death of them, but when I saw the COLRS on this one, I ran for the camera! It wasn't until I uploaded the pics that I saw the striped legs!
So maybe this is an okay spider??? ;D

These are so beautiful! I love that spider! Oh Anne of all the people that I wish I could have been there to meet, I wish you had been there! You would so fit right in with the rest of my family. We had a wonderful time and Tori Spelling was a delight. Thanks so much for you kind words and I know that they come from the heart and that is why I love you so much. Hugs to you Mama!! You're the bestest in the world. Hugs again

You know I wish I could have been there! DANG! We'd have been arrested for having too much fun, then going to look for some good Southern Food!!! (or throwing out a few chefs and cooking it ourselves! ha!)
So glad things went well!!!
Mr. Spider says he'd like you to draw him...... ;)

Great photos! My asters are blooming now too, and I know the spiders are out in full force, I practically get trapped by them as I walk through the woods and fields. I like to see them but not when they are climbing up my front!!!! Get it off! get it off!!!! I duck under as many of the webs as I can, but they are nearly invisible for a good reason. I love your spider shot. I need to carry my camera on my next walk, I have forgotten it for days now.
Yeah Jan,
I do NOT want them on me.....but that little guy was just twirling in the breeze, around and around, like he was really having fun!
And that was one FAT spider; the body was ball shaped and the size of a large marble. I don't have any books to see what type.....
I have put the camera in my purse, but I do forget to take it out and use it.
*sigh*

Anne - I was down in the city today (D.C.) and it was 99 degrees. Let me just say that 99 in our nation's capital is not a pleasant experience. It is why George Washington had Mt. Vernon! ;o And why am I so late to post to your posts!!! I feel like I am on the wrong day! :) Happy weekend, my friend - I love the spider. xox Pam
OMG, OMG, OMG Pam!!!
I cannot even imagine that....toooooo hot!!! Glad you're back, not melted and still able to type!
TAke it easy!

I am fearful our season will be cut short here...too hot and not enough moisture. Imagine and Live in Peace, Mary Helen Fernandez Stewart
