Big, Big Sky

By chance, as I was scurrying about on a house errand (escaping the studio for a second) I looked out the front windows and saw this massive, amazing sky.

Click the bottom photo to get a better look. These are Autumn skies slowly gracing our views---the days may heat, but the clouds say that the cool of the year is on the way.
I shot these with my little Canon Power Shot A1100IS, as it has the panoramic feature on it, and when it does panoramic.....Holy Cow! What a big file! I think I could print a mural from it......
It looked like a sweep of a giant paintbrush across the blue of the ether.
A rather lovely start for a Monday morning, I think.

Pax....

What a gorgeous sky!! We had a little nip (VERY little) in the air this morning, but it gives me great hope that the heat is soon done. Still, it'll be over 90 today, but not so humid. Have a great one!! Love, Silke

Yes, Silke, they are saying the same here for tomorrow. We had a couple of cool delightful nights and then WHAM! Return of the heat.
Some of the trees north of us have begun turning and are exquisite! Green on one side, flame red on the other..... :)
Today feels like it could yield some rain.

WOW! I love those skies and the crisp nights and mornings we've been having. And the smell of the campfires and the corn harvest.... See what you did...you made me all dreamy again.

HEEHEE!!!

Ah well, better to be with dreams than without!
I am sooooo ready for cool crisp days too. Enough of the bake-oven.
Plus, the clouds get better along the way! Wish you could have seen this massive beauty in person!

Yes, Fall is coming -- our trees are already starting to turn (at least the ones that still have leaves). My DH turned on the heat this morning "just to test it out." ;o) Nice sky pics.

Anne Huskey-Lockard said...

Oh Karen, I am still running the A/C, but then it's hot-flash central here, soooo.....LOL!!!
I probably need to wait till a really cool morning and try that, before I need it! LOL!!!

What a sky. It's still very warm here...we broke two records over the weekend. 109 and 107. But that's the Sonoran Desert for you.

Anne Huskey-Lockard said...

OMGosh Rita!

I would be in a puddle! I have always wanted to visit the desert, to shoot photos, but I'm thinking maybe in the Winter months! ;)
Stay as cool as possible!

Yes Lolo, and I try and *save* every one!
I always hate it when I am driving, sans cam, and see beautiful skies and can only remember them.
That I should paint them again....in my dreams! ;)

What a beautiful panoramic view of the sky. Awesome Anne. Sound like you have a neat camera. I'll have to check into that. Have a great week.

Wow!! Talk about spectacular! We are surrounded by poles and wires so we can't really get good sky pictures. I've gotten in the car a couple of times are headed out of town to get photos and by the time I get 'there' the photo op is always gone. I'll just have to admire yours!

Anne Huskey-Lockard said...

Hey Gloria---it is a simple little camera to use; I ahve had it since Christmas and just now really looking at all it can do (I am sooo slow!).
It is a good little take-with camera!

Hey M.A.

I was wandering out on the drive in my nightclothes to get those---and the guys working over at the airport should have had an eyefull---and not a good one either!
Yep, the one good thing out here is I have decent vantage of the skies, as long as I pay attention to where the power lines run....

Hey Girls,

I'm even later finding comments....I had to bug out to watch the Saints last evening!!!
Those big clouds always remind me of the old white cotton candy you can't get at the fairs anymore.... :) ...sun coming through, can't get better!

Oh MORE beautiful!!! We don't get clouds like that here. Pretty blue planet, spinning in space, you're a garden, you're an arbor, you're a Holy place. ♫♪ I love that little song. Be well, my beloved friendling.**blows kisses** Deb

Anne Huskey-Lockard said...

Deb, I am always amazed at the difference in the clouds in other parts of the country.
And I have never heard that song, but the lyrics are really cool!
