Yes, I have a rather sick sense of humor, but with the amount of work I have ahead of me, I pretty much feel like I am going to be sending myself through those blades for a couple of weeks.
Thus, Anne's blogging is going to suffer. Hey, work before blithering, right? ;-)
Let's see......the studio is in shambles but progress is being made on the commission. It is not as fast as I would like, but what is done makes me HAPPY. That is priceless. So I will continue at whatever pace produces good work.
Sweet Pea has taken over the studio and knows that "S.P. is the bird that rules the roost"! It has been delightful to watch this little miracle adapt and become comfortable in new surroundings and be very happy! And love Jazz and sing along......I have good birds.
Between work, teaching and studies, I barely see Gary so my time is oddly arranged and I am trying to adjust to this schedule. It is a matter of chunks of time here and there, which is not how I normally work but it is what is afforded me at the moment.
Forgive me if I am absent on blogs---there is just a lot to DO and I need to buckle down and deal with all of it.
Oh.
Due to many people asking me to save Milo's exploits, I took the leap into the new Blogger templates (which I might add, I despise) and gave him his own blog. There are no comment options--it is strictly all the exploits he had here on my blog, preserved over there, in order. Just hit older posts to go to the next page. And he was so friendly, if you would like to add yourself to Milo's Friends (a.k.a. followers) I am sure it would make him happy. Just click below:
Milo!!!
As for me, I am off to the tables and pattern making, painting fabric, and all the other things involved with the current project. Sometimes it is like juggling cats.
No, it is constantly like juggling cats! LOL!!!
Until I have some brain dribble worth posting, I remain in the studio, slaving away, pushing myself into that meat grinder!
Pax....

Still can't believe Milo has moved on :{ but don't put yourself through the 'grinder' to get things done (heehee). You'll finish everything; you always do. Anne w/ superhuman abilities.
LOL Elena!
IF ONLY!!!! I still feel in *meat-grinder* stage.
Maybe it is because it is MONDAY and I am completely tired and not sure where to start first.
Perhaps a list would be beneficial.
1. Put head in vise.
2. TIGHTEN.
3. Wait for inspiration.
Ah-hahahahaha!!!

looking forward to seeing the progress on the church piece! hopefully things don't look quite so daunting once they're moving along! happy monday-
Yep....it's in that in between ground. The part that I have the hardest time with.....you know the story; you get *past* a certain point and then everything is go-go-go.
I'm working my way there! LOL!!

I thoroughly enjoyed reading about Milo and his adventures in Peru!! I hear ya about the work. I've been accepted into a gallery in Phoenix and have to prepare for an exhibition in Oct. Oey Vey, much to do and little time to do all I want to do.
Just work, my friend. Keeps us out of trouble, well sort of, and helps with those unclean thoughts!!! LOL
Love ya,
G
Good for you Georgina! CONGRATS!!!
Yeah, it just has been a strange year, and I am fed up with everything. Yired of fighting invisible nasties, trying to work, ACK.
After this commission, I am ready to turn in the paintbrushes and go apply to be a greeter at WalMart. >:)
Does that give you an idea of my humor? Ah-hahahahaha!!!!

I'm in the same boat, Anne. The entire week Casey was here, I threw EVERYTHING into my office and now I have all that and more to deal with. It literally looks ransacked in there! I need to find the buried bills. ):
My dear Uncle is terminally ill and we are all so upset - he is in CA. Thank the Lord for telephones - Mom and he are VERY close and they are talking many times daily. And my DH's Mom had a serious heart attack this week and is not doing well. Life is an emotional roller coaster.
Take your time getting caught up. You know we are always here.
A Blog for Milo? hahahaha
Anne, you are something else!!
♥ audrey
Hey Audrey,
Sorry to hear about you family issues---that takes the mind totally off everything. I think everyone I know has had this emotional rollercoaster this summer. I keep trying to GET OFF! LOL!!
Yep, Milo is *preserved* on his own little blog...what can I say? I am a nutcake!

I think that grinder is my everyday life!! So many things to do and not enough time. Which is why I try now to set aside a little time for blogging. I could stay on here all day, but alas paint is now my middle name so I better hop to it!!
Take Care
Ulrike
I hear you Ulrike.....too much work, not enough hours.
I have a feeling I am going to be sparse for a while. Gotta get some things caught up. ;)

Good luck Anne, I hope you can find some peace and tranquility in your studio this week and get some good progress on that piece. I know you will feel better when that is finished and handed over. I'm glad you have little Sweet Pea for company.
Me too Jan,
Sweet Pea has been singing along with WWOZ....what a bird! I have raised another jazz-head! ;)
Off to squeeze out inspiration....

Hi Anne! So "chaos" has finally departed and you're back to the previous chaos? Hehehee... Well, I hope you still have time to put your feet up and relax. Easier said than done, I know, but it sure prevents less wrinkles on the brain. You know what I mean? :)) oxx
Ah yes, Amalia, I am back to *pre-Milo* chaos. In fact, it was so much that I ended up on the couch watching rotten TV! LOL!!!
Yep, just back to work-cause-you-must!!!

Ahhhhhhhhhhh I hope you make much progress in the next few days, so you can come back and be with us.
Work long and fast!!
What are you teaching Anne?
Have a great week.
Love and hugs.
Hey MArie,
I'm not teaching; just trying to struggle thru this huge commission. The body is making it hard. Little things, like sitting on the floor to owrk or any amount of time with my arms up painting the background fabric. But I need it don'e before I can sew.
Gary is the one teach classes two nights a week and studying for his Phd...so life is crazy here.
Okay, Life is ALWAYS crazy here....hee, hee, hee!!!

You will get it done, Anne. You are such a great artist there is no other way. Just make sure we get to see the finished project. Everything I am doing is for Christmas gifts. Loving it. Blessings

Hey Anne! Sorry to be awol. Life is just squirrel-nuts these days - lol! I hope you get some time for you. I keep imagining a day where I can do exactly as I want, all day long. I would probably sit in a chair and drool - hahahahaha! Time for more coffee. :) xox - Pam

Hey Sophia,
BOY! Am I glad I have someone fooled! LOL!!!
It is just slow work. I wish I was the one trying to do small things to fill an Etsy shop. There has to be a happy medium, and when I find it, I'll let you know, okay?? :D
Take care!!!!
