Your Chance To......

.....Take this class over the phone and have a ball while making a mess in your own home! No pressure, no competition, no worrying if someone else's work looks *better* than yours;  just a great teacher, lots of fun and lots of things to learn!
I am adding a link to Sarah's Blog so you can check out the requirements---this is a perfect opportunity for anyone who would like to work in mixed media/collage again, or hasn't before and wants to give it a try with some guidance.
This is too good an opportunity to pass up folks! Go visit Sarah and see for yourself!

I will try and get back to regular blogging and reading as soon as this heat passes. I am really behind in the studio; the humidity is darn near 100% (it was earlier as it rained long enough to steam everything up! LOL!) and the few things I have been needing to do will not dry. I will, though, take photos as I get elements done and THEN put a post together. Plus I have been fighting heat migraines again.....like I need that????
Heck, I had not planned to blog today, but thought y'all might want to give this a whirl!
And if you haven't, join the Creative Women of Facebook. It is the most supportive group of people you'll meet, and you'll enjoy the photos posted there!
Okay, time to make the donuts......  ;-D

Hi Anne,

How refreshing to not worry if your art is maybe not as professional as someone else's and that you are there to just learn and have fun!!
I hope the heat breaks up for All of us and also that your heat migrain will become a thing of the past very soon!!

Love your Blog too!!!

Wishing you a refreshing cool breeze...if only from the airconditioner for now!!

Hi Susan!

Hey, I'll take a cool breeze from anywhere now!!! I'm going to be revving up the heat gun soon on some samples, and that means MORE AIR! LOL!!!
Sarahs class is so much fun---I encourage everyone on that!

Oh I wish I could take the class but I am getting ready to go.

I got my card Anne!! I adore it, I adore it. Did I tell you I adore it? It is so beautiful.

I hope you do not melt back there in that humidity, you are living in a swamp and I am so sorry!!
I would be laying on the floor unable to move, how do you do it??
Love and hugs dear one and I am hoping it breaks real soon!

Well Marie,

I turn the A/C up to a temp that would keep raw meat fresh for days...and try not to go OUT!!!
But I have had enough, I tell ya.
Glad you liked the card!
HAve a good one!

I came out from hiding in the bushes to say hi and thanks for your comment on Fluffy. Thanks for understanding and for the reminder of the tele-class. Hope all is well my friend!

Hey Elena!

I am doing okay; mostly frustrated because I can't get things (work) moving as fast as I would like, but I tried using the blow dryer on some of the painted things and when they went FLYING......LOL!!!
Sometimes you have to know when to kick back and just wait.
Looks like rain again...I shall stand outside and steam off some of this weight! HAHAHAHA!

I have been looking at different things lately, and thought I could perhaps do that too. So....we shall see. I'll head on over to the blog.
Stay cool.....sort of sounds like back from the 70's doesn't it?!!
Take Care,
Ulrike

LOL!! Ulrike, we are channeling the '70s for sure!
OMG....I'm having a flashback to bellbottoms and platform shoes! No, wait---I was just looking at a clothing catalog. Some bad clothing never dies.... ;)

Oh this is going to be another masterpiece. What is a heat gun? I love that look of the painted crumpled bag. Got my cards and the cutest card from you. Love them. Who pays for the phone call with Sarah's class? Guess I had better ask her. Thanks for the info.

I have never done mixed media BUT...once I get this house all ready and listed and sold and I move...then watch out, cause i'm going to give it a go, LOL. But in the meantime, I'm packing stuff away and can't add to what I already have. I'm obsessive so I would start buying up all kinds of things I don't need right now in the way of materials.

Anne Huskey-Lockard said...

Sandy, you hit it right on the head--mixed media is addictive!
~~AND~~
There are sooooo many things you can use and collect and save and buy. I have some of the very oddest things; I am sure if non-artists went through my *collection* they would think I was nuts for sure!
But when you're ready to start, you will LOVE IT!!!
