Well, Blogger started out my morning in it's usual fashion; not letting me publish comments. You know, if I could beat my computer senseless at this point, I think I would! I refuse to drop comment moderation, because the Asian pervy-creeps are still trying to sneak in the blog (like they think I don't SEE their stuff?) and I hate the extra effort of getting the comments off.
Yesterday I boiled my brains mowing as it was the *coolest* day forecast this week, except for tomorrow when we are to have thunderstorms......I am beginning to think my poor brain is about the size of a walnut and just rolling about in my cranium!
Some of the work I have been doing for the church hanging is going good, but even with ceiling fans, dehumidifier running and A/C---the paint is taking three time as long to dry. It is frustrating to say the least. I will have to post some of the photos of the weird stuff I am painting, hopefully to use in the creek bed that runs thru the piece!
Other assorted tidbits.....on my list are the following:
• grocery shopping
• buy supplies to change the oil, filters and spark plug in the J.D.
• chipmunk trap (look out chipmunk heaven......)
• printer ink
• laundry
• oh yeah, studio time
And why was that LAST????
That pretty well sums up my day/week or however long this takes, and I move so slow in the heat.......isn't it CLOSE to Fall yet?
Geez, I forgot to add camera batteries to that list, as I have blown through another set. Yes, I have beatiful photos to post, a lovely story about a surprise from Ces and other *quality* posts....but I want to be able to publish the comments! ACK!!!!
Okay, enough of a rant...off to Anne-Land to get busy on, well, SOMETHING.
Have a good one y'all.......stay cool! ;-D

Hi Anne! We are having a lovely little heat wave, too, with bad air quality to boot. I will wear my gas mask to the grocery store - lol! Try and stay cool, a mind is a terrible thing to melt. :) xox! Pam
Well, I am going to try and post here. Blogger wont let me post comments it shows it posted and then it is gone.
Fake you out post.
But We have stats, lol!!
Everything else is muck but we have stats!!
Love you and miss you dear one.
Stay out of the sun!!
I see that you have 0 comments...unbelievable, or is it blogger or is it you're already out the door?? Yesterday, I sent Mary Helen a nice comment and the Error page came up...was I just a little upset!!??? And after your advise on how to moderate my comments, thank you lady, I too am still getting those Asian turds/pervs sending me their junk!! As if!!! Oh well, at least I don't have to trash them on my blog...just on my moderation page!!
Am taking Ian back to his father's this a.m. I was awaken by a text message last night, 11:15. His majesty thought I was bringing Ian by at 10 last night upon their va-cae return!!! Sure, me with night blindness (and he knows this)am going to trek across town at 10 p.m. just to drop him off...I'm not in that big a hurry...moroon!! Anyway, I too am going to do a bit of shopping. Will stop over at the Michaels store on that side since we don't have one out here on my side of the mountain, then off to the grocery store to get a couple of things for dinner tonight. Honey man wants meat loaf...a whole month of no meat loaf has left him faint!! Ian hates meat loaf. Come to think of it, I also need new cartridges for my printer...this Cannon eats up ink unlike my ol' HP...was my savior during my college days but it went on to HP heaven about a year and a half ago.
Alright, I'm done with listing my a.m. plans. Have a goal for my work, so am going to get started on it this week...FINALLY...brain zaps and all!!
Love ya like my luggage,
G
We are hot...hot...hot!! It is already 100 degrees here on the outside thermometer. I am about 73 inside.....Feels good!!
I love the summer but I dislike these extreme temps.....
Stay Cool!!
Love,
Marilyn
Good Morning Anne Sweetie...
Looks like you have some of the items on your list that I have on mine. Printer ink, camera batteries, laundry to do. Now that chipmunk trap, what the heck is that all about? I feel a new post coming on.
I watched dear husband attempt to mow again yesterday. He is just not familiar with the tiff grass and I have always mowed (35 years now). I pray that the doctor releases me this Friday back to the outdoors so I can get my yardwork back to normal, before I have nothing left.
I pray you are doing well. Have a great week sweetie. Don't forget to take time to smell the flowers.
Country hugs...Sherry
It seems Blogger is having hissy fits on everyone's blog.
We've just reached 100 degrees today with air quality/heat warnings throughout the state.
I feel your pain!
xoxo
Shhhhhhhhhh.......
Don't let Blogger know I was able to publish these! It just might stop again! :D
It was probably for the best I answered these thru e-mail.... I was a bit testy this morning.
*AHEM!*
XXOO!!
Anne
Pfew! Your post made me sweat! With the heat here in Georgia, I make Silke out to mow the lawn — it's just too much for me! I'm surprised she hasn't complained about it. BTW, when you're finished with your chipmunk expediters, send them this way if you think they'd work on squirrels! Stay cool!
Weather, Schmeather! Let's talk about this gorgeous piece of ART! I LOVE!!! I WANT!!!! It is so beautiful! Did you paint it? When did you paint it? How did you paint it?! Love those colors!!! Oh, yes, and stay cool!!! Love, Silke
Hey you two!!!
First, no I did not do the painting.
Second, Daniel, send the cat HERE. Yes, send the cat because I want to kill as many of the chipmunks as possible and somehow I see them springing the trap or me getting stuck in it! LOL! And I had to buy 4 pounds of peanuts to bait it.....
WHAT? WHAT? SIlke had to mow??? Oooooohhhhhh....that is sooooo wrong. (I mow because DH doesn't know how to run the tractor and I like it that way! :D)
LOL!!!
It's just tooooooo hot everywhere!
Y'all have a good evening!
XXOO!!
Anne
100 degrees here too, plus the dreaded humidity. Blog-grrrr is feeling the heat all over because there are a number of people complaining about it - don't feel alone in your angst Anne because a lot of us feel your pain.
M.A. I have to admit I was at the two-year-old fit throwing stage this morning...oh! I have not gone off on a tizzy like that in quite a while!
I think we all go crazy in the heat.
AND----I think blogger added too much stuff before having the bugs worked out.
XXOO!!
Anne...cooler this evening! LOL!!!
I forgot what to say. I forgot what to say... Oh! Asian-pervy-creeps...So what are you wearing, Babe?
HAHAHAHA!
Oh, by the way, the spammers only leave one or two comments, but with comment moderation, you have to act on every comment and decide whether to publish it or not. Doesn't the latter require more work?
i too have a long to do list with studio time at the bottom. but it is there- for this weekend, if not sooner- and at least we're having pleasant weather. hang in there!
Stay cool and make more time for the studio sweet sister...it will alleviate the brain frazzle just dipping into painting and goo and messy art stuff :O)! Imagine and Live in Peace, mary Helen Fernandez Stewart
I'm in ugly pajamas!!!
It would scare off the pervy creeps Ces! It's too hot for fancy stuff! LOL!!!
TSUP!
A.
No....I turn in their blogger iD and their Blog. Got one guy the other day with ONE VISIT to the blog. So I am getting less of them....before it was crazy!
Plus, I don't like the porn links on my blog page at all.....
XXOO!!
Anne
Oh Marianne, it seems by the weekend it is yard mowing time again.....it is this endless cycle of grabbing a few studio moments and then being stuck with all the rest of the work!
I want a studio WEEK! I am greedy! LOL!!
XXOO!!
Anne
I'm trying Mary Helen!!! But I only managed to get through half of yesterday's list and so today, it is BACK OUT in the heat. The thought of it makes me want to cry!!! (and balk and say NO! but it really is not supposed to cool off, sooooo......)
Take care dear!
XXOO!!
Anne
Hey Anne - I'm catching up with blogs - love your pics - I really like the birdie one - so plump! I promise to be more regular...and I hear ya with the computer problems - what's up with Facebook and speed? Ah well, even with all this it beats writing a letter and waiting.....
I'm intrigued by your photo..looks like something from Ernest Haeckel??? What/who Hope you had a cool day! Before you know it winter will be here!! UGH...not sure which is worse!
I had trouble with blogger in the past couple of days with Comment Publishing too. I even lost a couple of comments altogether. I hope they fixed the glitch.
I hope you manage to get some time in your studio.
Those poor, little chipmunks. We don't get them here but your list suggests they are a pest where you live? I'm a real sook with it comes to animals. I can't even kill a mouse....we buy catch & release traps. :)
I meant to add that, if you opt to NOT allow Anonymous comments through your blog settings, you will find the spam decreases dramatically.
You run a tractor! You are way ahead of me! My hubby is still trying to teach me, it's a wonder I can use the riding lawn mower!! The push mower always worked fine till we moved here with this hill which is not an easy job. Must be the year of the chipmunk as we have a lot of them running around. My dad said if there are lots of chipmunks there will be snakes too, just great!! Hope you guys are staying cool, we had 60 in the morning over the weekend. What a relief! Now it is back up again.
Blogger gave me some problems too, I wish they would get their act together! Well, don't forget batteries as I'd love to see what you have to show next!
Take Care,
Ulrike
Robbie, I hate admitting am not sure who did the piece of art, but it was a free Dover image and I save those for days when I want a vertical artsy piece!
I am all for winter...no questions.
Remind me of that as I shovel snow and whine!
XXOO!!
Anne
Serena, I had lost comments too....things seem better now...I'm almost afraid to say that!
So far, I am just feeding the chipmunks. They are smarter than the trap...
I hate having to put down anything, but the thought of stepping into a chipmunk hole and breaking an ankle, or having to have the corners of the foundation fixed are motive for sending them painlessly to the great beyond.
And I seem to be the one here to have that job.
*sigh*
XXOO!!
Anne
Oh, on the spam, I never allowed anon. comments.
It is slowing, but I am having a delightful time turning them in!
If I wanted their porn sites, I would seek them out....ya know???

Ulrike, mine is just a small 48" deck yard tractor, though I opted for the manual model. I would ♥LUV♥ a BIG TRACTOR!!! My grandpa used to farm and riding the tractor with him was the highlight of our visits!
It is still extremely hot; gave me a sick migraine today but since the sun has set and I loaded with meds, I feel better. Tomorrow they are talking possibility of rain.
I wonder if it can just evaporate coming down from the heat??? :D

I love my "Prize"...such a gorgeous card and the smaller one oh so beautiful!! Thank you so much!!
Hey Sandy!
Glad it got there! The small card is from one of my box canvas pieces, which are really detailed and SLOW. I love them, but they can drive me nuts....well, nuttier! LOL!!!
XXOO!!
Anne
Always fascinated to see what is going on down there! Angel seems to have rid our habitat of our chipmunks! Don't know if that will work for you, but I deeply appreciate her "efforts" to help out the family! Just think how this can inspire your culinary arts, too. This hot muggy weather just reeks of "gumbo". Blessings, always
My Dear Tallboy,
I am borrowing, NAY, *stealing* Angel for a week. She will be pampered beyond words. The chipmunk trap is a joke. I have 4 pounds of peanuts I might as well throw out the backdoor and yell "Come and get it!" like Ma Kettle! Geez.....
The chpmunks are not even afraid of me at this point...they just cluck and laugh.
Will probably see you Sunday providing I get rid of this migraine. I alwys knew I was a pain at the OTHER end....but te upper one too????
Blessings to all....
Pax!
Anne
P.S. Tallboy,
I have gumbo in the freezer...it is too hot to cook that dark roux I so love from scratch.
We need to set up some gumbo-eating time when it cools a bit.
And Holy Water too!
And if it is cool enough, I could fix a pan of bread pudding.....SLURP! :D
Pax!

Oh my, temptations at this time of the year?! We do need to set a time to redezvoux re: gumbo & "holy water"!!! Have sent membership request to Karen! Blessings always,
p.s. the ladies are excited to "see" the news about the liturgical wall art. Thanks.
I should have some of the work samples posted on blog tomorrow---working with fabric now, so it doesn't have to *dry*....
Thanks on the paperwork! :D

Ok - I don't want to know what type of donuts you're making in this heat (at least I don't THINK I do). If they're donuts of the edible sort - your migraines must be affecting your brain to heat up the house with hot oil. No, can't be. Going off now muttering to self, no, Anne wouldn't be making real donuts. No, she must be talking about doing wheelies with garden tractor. Yes, that's it.
M.A.----LOL!!!!
It's from that old Dunkin Donuts commercial, where the guy meets himself going in and out of the house, muttering, "Time to make the donuts...time to make the donuts..."
Gary and I have gotten to the point where we joke about that; it's our code for time to get to work whether we want to or not!
Altho~~~donut DO sound yummy! :D
XXOO!!
Anne
Anne, your work with tyvek(?) is amazing- I love the layering and very natural effects you are getting. I thought of you when I was wrapping a wee present for my future son in law- I used the bright silver paper from a house plant- it looks gorgeous and I doubt I would have thought of that if your blog hadn't poked my brain. Dolly :)
Hey Dolly!
Actually, it is the inside of potato chip bags....but I am going to have to keep in mind saving the floral wraps to try one of them and see what it would do under lower heat. I could use *both* sides.... :D
XXOO!!
