Another Blogger Moment.....

"Who are you and why won't you let my mom post pictures???"

Ah yes, a quick one folks. Blogger is having another *moment* and after numerous tries to post something more than brain-dribble, I gave up. It is obviously experiencing some sort of *issues* and I don't have an evening to fight with it. Hmmmph!
I spent the whole (and I do mean WHOLE) day on more leaves for the hanging and the machine finally was hot and smelling odd, to say the least. I probably am mimicing the machine, at this point. Pleased, though, with the outcome but it has been a grind to get it to quit breaking threads. I think, really, I need a new throatplate and don't feel like plunking down $50 at the moment......
Have my DH home for the holiday weekend, so my blogging and visiting may be even more sparse than it has been of late. What is it with Summer??? It goes too fast, makes you lazy and I find it hard to focus with the exception of my art. And there are DAYS that even suffers!
I had to pick on one of the boys for some humor, so poor Joey was it. I have a LOAD of lovely flower and nature shots, but when I could not get even ONE photo to load, that was an indication to save them for another day.
Have a good safe weekend for those of you taking off; for those of you still hanging round, I might try to find a patriotic shot for the Fourth.
Or me having a fit which is equal to fireworks! HA!
One never knows about this blog.......
Now, go have some fun, do something wonderful, enjoy the day!

Dear Anne, please tell Joey he is a handsome bird!! Isn't that something about summer? I told Daniel yesterday that I didn't know what was wrong with me - all I want to do is nap, read, knit, crochet, do some art and eat. It's like I have no energy for anything active. But then who wants to be active in this heat?! Happy Friday! Love, Silke

Anne Huskey-Lockard said...

Oh Silke---at least I'm not the only one! It's just like the energy is sucked right out, and these few cool days, while WONDERFUL, made me just want to sit on the porch and read and DO NOTHING.... :)

I love Joey Joey Joey, and I like today's music ;)

I don't understand Blogger's hissy fits. What's up with that? I think maybe it's the 'new' Blogger and all it's nuances. Sure makes me swear...A LOT!!!

Anne Huskey-Lockard said...

I've wondered the same thing Lolo---if the *new* Blogger is causing issues with the old one, and I am NOT---repeat NOT---moving to it!
And yes, I need a lot of absolution after trying to put a post up. Why couldn't the just leave things alone? I don't even like the new templates.....grrrrrr.....

Cranky Pants!

Oh my, Joey IS a handsome bird, and I love what he's done with his cage! My own little love birds are so cute!!!
It is 90 already and humid...Dee is not walking today so I am pulling out the aerobic DVD and staying inside with the AC. Wishing you luck with your moody machine! **blows kisses** Deb

I think Blogger is training us to post less. Maybe poor Blogger is tired, too, and just can't get its little electrons moving. Blogger has lost his mojo, Anne. lol!! Please tell Joey that Auntie Pam says he is very handsome! And I hope you survive the leaves and the machine and the heat - and get to enjoy your 4th! xoxox!! Pam

Anne Huskey-Lockard said...

Hey Deb,

Joey is a natural neat bird....he cleans things up (no joke!). His brother, on the other hand...... ;D
I don't blame you---I'm just enjoying this cool breeze while it lasts!
Have a good one!

Anne Huskey-Lockard said...

Hey Pam,

Blogger just needs a visit from some of us girls---he'd get his mojo back or get his electrons kicked sideways! AH-HAHAHAHAHA!!!!
Will relay message from Auntie Pam to Joey (but will have to tell Johnny the same...KIDS)

Summer is lazy. I find myself reclining in my lounge chair on the porch--(especially with the nice weather we have been having) just listening to the wind in the leaves--AAAHHH. Love your little green parakeet--so sweet!! I hate it when my sewing machine acts up--nothing makes me madder or swear like a sailor which I normally don't do!! Have a little R @ R this weekend!!

Bunny said...

He is adorable. Love his colour. Happy to see you got to blog. I had no problem but was later than you I guess. Hugs

Anne Huskey-Lockard said...

Hey Janet!

Oh yes, the sewing-machine-swears....I know those too well! Especially when you have no clue WHY it's doing what it's doing!
I am being so tempted by y'all for R&R....I just may DO IT! :D

Anne Huskey-Lockard said...

Hey Bunny!

I think sometimes it just makes the rounds of the blogs....problems here and there. I know Pam went thru an awful spell for a while, then it cleared up!
Maybe I'll just *ignore* Blogger this weekend...wink!wink!

summer always sees a blog slowdown. fall is the best blogging season. that is one beautiful photo of the bird though so glad you kept trying. that is some kind of gorgeous green! happy 4th and weekend to you!

Anne Huskey-Lockard said...

Hi Chickory,

Joey does have beautiful plumage--there is the very slightest hint of turquoise under the right light. Johnny, my blue PEEP, is equally brilliant, but boy he will not hold still for a photo!
I am sooooo ready for days, tree color, beautiful sunsets....ah yes! :)

Karen S said...

What a beautiful boy! If you could load only one photo...that's the one.

I don't get Blogger either, but I do know that as soon as I do, they'll change it. Because they're in cahoots with my kids, husband, boss, employees, and all manufacturers of hardware, software, electronic things and other stuff that's supposed to make my life easier. HA! (Karen is now retreating to the kitchen to fashion a tinfoil hat to protect her from the conspiracy...)

Love the bird! Will have 23 beaners at my mother's house on the 4th. Men's Health magazine declared us 99th out of 100 (Jersey City came in 100)as the most unpatriotic city in this country, of course this after El Paso got the "All American City" award and status...WTF???? Anyway, we all hate Mens Health mag...they're always picking on us....the fattest, stinkiest, most illiterate (which they may not be too far from that one), ugliest men (my honey is adorable and El Paso born and bred)and who knows what else they'll discover about us...GET A LIFE!!! So we'll be having the fancy burgers, my brother's are both meat gourmets, brats, pasta salad, fruit, guacamole and for dessert, my oatmeal bars and Mexican Sheet Cake! We'll be celebrating that red, white and blue and thank God our grandparents came to this country, legally, but then there were no immigration laws back in the mid 1900's, and decided to raise their children here. Viva America!!

How's that for patriotic rant????

Love ya,

Anne Huskey-Lockard said...

I hear ya Karen!!!
Hmmm.....maybe I better make myself a tinfoil hat too, but I'm using the HEAVY DUTY foil! :D
LOL!!! It's aaaaaaalll to make life easier...yeeeeeessssssss....drink the Kool-Aide......
Okay, I am unfit to be on here.

Anne Huskey-Lockard said...

Hey Georgina, ya a littl UPSET????
that was a GOOD rant! Up to par with mine! Wish I was gonna be there to share all that good food---Gary and I are just staying in and keeping cool over the weekend, and *trying* to eat right....ugh.
Oh well, my lipids should like me.... ;D

*Ulrike* said...

I thought I'd never get my photos uploaded yesterday. I fought with it the whole time. Then I noticed the home button, hit that, went to edit posts, and whoa!!, there were the ones that said they would not upload due to whatever blogger had said. So I saved, did a post, and it came up fine. I don't like that though, hope they get it fixed soon.
Hope you and your DH have a lovely holiday weekend!
Take Care,

Anne Huskey-Lockard said...

Ulrike, that was exactly what happened with me too! And I tried to delete the post and had to do it, oh, six times? No joke---I was ready to pop a blood vessle!
Yes, fix it soon or Anne and her scythe will find them IN PERSON and express our displeasure!!! LOL!!!

These dang computers are great when they cooperate with us but when they do not they can make a monkey's "aunt" out of all of us. Remain calm...breathe and go play.... Imagine and Live in Peace,, Mary Helen Fern Stew
I love the new music girl!!!
Save those blood vessels in your brain...we all need to conserve them :O)!

Anne Huskey-Lockard said...

So true Mary Helen! And I don't have a lot of *grey matter* to spare anymore....LOL!!! Seems to go when *mentalpause* hits.....
Have a good weekend!!!

Jan said...

Sweet little Joey, always the good boy. I could barely get blogger to work either but finally got a post up after loading the photos one by one. Glad you are nearly to the end of your leaf making activity. Surely you have enough to begin fall by now! Happy 4th to you. It's raining here.

And what is wrong with sitting and relaxing on a summer day anyway, I ask you? It seems like a good thing, to me.

Anne Huskey-Lockard said...

Hey Jan,

Sitting and relaxing sounds just seems I have forgotten how to DO it! LOL!!!
Sunny here---have to go check the mail and I bet it has heated up. Should have pulled weeds earlier...oh well! :D

Gloria said...

Hi Anne. Just popped in to say have a great weekend on the 4th. You know Blogger is always working on something to try to improve things for us, (so they say) and in the process, they come up with something new and it affects something else. Relax and stay out of the heat. You'll be fine, just fineeeeeeeee. :)

Sandy said...

What a cute cute budgie, love it...Have a great holiday.

Anne Huskey-Lockard said...

Hey Gloria,

I wonder if I have to go on BP meds due to Blogger if I can claim that on taxes??? LOL!!
Oh yeah...making it better! :D
Have a good weekend!

Anne Huskey-Lockard said...

hey Sandy,

Yes, he is cute and knows how to USE it to get treats, attention, etc! The two of them are a hoot....should have bought six.
Well, maybe NOT! LOL!!!
Have a good weekend!

Oh cripes - now I have a mental picture. Anne, bearing scythe, wearing her skull and crossbones, haring across a field after the elusive Blog-grrr. T'would be even better during a thunder storm! Hell hath no fury and all that.

Anne Huskey-Lockard said...

You're right M.A.---I forgot to add the thunderstorm---like that scene from the Blues Brothers....when the're singing "Ghost Riders In The Sky"!!!
What a gentle little flower I am....
