Shameless Self Promotion......and WELCOMES!!!

I know......it's not polite to brag about your own work. And that's what I'm doing. And I guess it is not just bragging, but promoting, at which I have never been good.
But I am soooooo excited about the things I just got up on my Zazzle store that I hope you will forgive me this once....or twice.....or, as the case may be here THREE TIMES! ;-)

I had a ball with the theme of "Love Knows No Boundaries" and hope that others find this as appealing as I do. I really believe it. Real love transcends boundaries....thus these three items. A full wrap mug (which you can customize of course!)......

....Designed into a multi-purpose greeting card available in two sizes, (and I will probably end up buying some of these myself...sigh...there goes any potential profit!......)

......and a T-shirt design that can be put on a multitude of different styles. Prices vary, so it is affordable in one style or the other. And the sizes run the spectrum, so hopefully, everyone is covered! (bad pun....sorry....)
And a big hug and thanks to Tristan who already purchased one of the mugs! You made me smile on a very frustrating day!!!

Now, to proper WELCOMES!!! New faces on the blog and I am so delighted to have you here! Thanks to recent folks joining this merry ship, El Milagro Studio has hit the magic number of 100 Followers, so I am thinking about a give-away.
What would you like??? You, who show up and read my brain drivel, comment kindly when I am ranting and make me laugh when I don't know which end is up.
What do you think? An original piece of art? A print on canvas? Drop some ideas here, and when I get this week a bit more under control, we'll get this party started!
Thank you all for supporting this blog and the crazy blog-mistress......you are appreciated very much, from follower #1 to follower #100---you are all Number One to me!

Pax.

It is perfect!!
Anything you give away will be great Anne. All your stuff is. Your original art would be fabulous.
Hint hint!!!!
Have a great week!

Anne Huskey-Lockard said...

HA! Marie is the first to *hint-hint* about original art!
It's going on the list.....
I think I really NEED one of everything from Zazzle but that sort of defeats the purpose of making it, eh? ;)

Hi Anne! I hate promoting, too, but dang girl, we have to pay for all those art supplies SOMEHOW. ;0 The mug looks gorgeous. Now, about that giveaway...hmm...oh, I don't know. lol! Do whatever you can, and we will all be turning cartwheels to win whatever it is. Okay, back to the salt mines. I am going to try and have a giveaway too, to celebrate surviving (barely!) the school year. Congrats on the 100! xox - Pam

I am off to go share this post with a group of friends...hope you are having a wonderful day...

oh and I second the "original art" but then again I also second the "anything you make is great"

Hi Anne,
Listen honey if you don't brag about your stuff, no one else will because we only see what you show us. Isn't that part of blogging.
I'm soooo glad you brag about what you're up too!
AND I would be here bragging to if it was me!
Love the mug! Ah, yes, I'm a coffee drinker.

Congrats on 100 followers, others don't know what they're missing.

Happy Painting,
Hugs,
Anna

Hey Pam,

Like we have trouble TALKING.....it's just the promoing. I feel like I'm begging...ACK! But you're right--art supplies come first!
Congrats on being in one piece now that school is out.
At least for a few days! ;D

Okay Anna,

Now I feel better about doing my little *look-at-me* dance! (my inner child running around the house with crayons and paper! LOL!)
I have always found it odd I can promote the heck out of someone else and I look at my work (which I am usually happy with) and go completely braindead.
Too much bleach I guess!

How would we know about your great art if you didn't tell us about it? If someone wants to say it is self promotion, well, who better? Promote away! congratulations on your 100 followers, I'd sign up again if I could. Regarding a giveaway, what about a zazzle piece of someones choosing. One of your art prints on it, of course.

these are great! i hope you sell lots & lots (and no reason not to!) and sure that whatever you choose as a give away will be perfect- congrats on 100 followers!

This is a proud moment. The word "shame" should not be associated with real talent. It's a God-given gift and you should celebrate it by drinking coffee on a mug like this.

Tsup!

Anne Huskey-Lockard said...

Okay everyone!!!
Sorry for the *group reply* but the weather is wet and my hands are being stinkers!
The gerenal concensus seems to be "Original Art, or Whatever" so that has my little brain thinking! (don't you hear the creaking nooises???)
I shall see what I come up with. This seems to be giveaway season too, so lots of good stuff to have a chance at out there!
I am now off to visit all your blogs......thanks for your kind words and input!

hello everyone, it's me, emily rabbit taking over anne's comments without her permission.

she is taking too long to put some of her poetry on her blog so i am doing it for her. and not just because she mentioned my name!

isn't she good? i think throwing frozen peas when she's mad has been good for her.

sincerely
emily rabbit

now please read anne's poem and tell her she should keep writing:

Looking for balance
is most hard to find,
Petals like Emily's
are one of a kind.
We live in a world
where demands are too many
and rest and recouping
is no longer plenty.
Wise little rabbits
can make it look easy,
But truly, for humans,
it does make us queasy.
Spending too long
with work or hard duty
can just make us crank
(and some people snooty).
We all need a flower
like the one you have drawn
reminding us when
it is time to move on
from the work that's at hand
to the rest that we need
and then we'd be happy
"Emilys" indeed!
(But still, here I sit
as the cold, cold peas drip--
I'm wondering where our petal
for *Trouble* has slipped!)

Yours Sincerely,
(with peas)
Anne.......XXOO!!

Anne Huskey-Lockard said...

Dear Emily,

I am not mad at you.
I knew there was a *trouble* petal on that flower!
You just hid it under one of the other ones, so it would be perfectly balanced, didn't you??? ;)
We can still throw peas. The phone repair man is coming and I think that would be a perfect target. See if he can work while being pelted with peas...... :D

Sincerely,
Anne with the soggy peas....heading for the freezer.

kj said...

anne, use frozen brussel sprouts or artichoke hearts for the phone guy. the peas sound too small for the occasion.

and don't forget to whine and kick. that is the best part.

e.r.

Anne Huskey-Lockard said...

Oh, thank you Emily!!!
Frozen artichoke hearts should make wonderful projectiles!
Launched from a sling shot, I think.... >:)
See, I knew there was a *Trouble* petal slyly hiding.....

I'm not very good at self-promo either but that doesn't mean we shouldn't try! I love this mug. The design looks great on the t-shirt too. Wow!!
Don't you just love Zazzle? I make my own stamps all the time. And stickers ;)

I think if you gave away the rag you wipe your brushes on we'd all stand in line!!
I'd be honored to have anything you choose to give away. Whoever wins will be beaming!

Congrats on 100. I see 100 more in the near future ;)

love,
Lolo♥

Anne Huskey-Lockard said...

Well Lolo,

I promise no paint rags! LOL!
I do have too much fun with Zazzle. It's just so easy to get on there and make things I could not otherwise.
Now I think I need to sling some paint or get busy....I've been on here all morning!

I got my new mug to go with my other Anne mug.

You going to end up with a series of eight?

Anne Huskey-Lockard said...

Gosh Tristan,

That would not be too hard for me since I love hearts and especially quirky ones or sacred hearts!
Just getting that grey matter of mine all stirred up, aren't you??? (but it's a really good idea...need to scrounge my image files....)

Ooh ooh ooh -- I want some artwork. Or maybe a t-shirt -- in a small size so I can stop being mean as a snake while dieting -- it will give me something to look forward to besides these hunger pains ;-)

Anne Huskey-Lockard said...

Hey Karen!

LOL!!! Buy a size that fits with everything!!! I have learned the hard way that my aspiritions to lose weight do not agree with my body's desires!
I'm thinking it will be an original piece of art..... :)

Actually, I think it was having too many things that "fit everything" that caused this problem. I think it's true: sweat pants make you fat.

I have to agree...I am so used to my Yoga pants that when I put on jeans it is like I am wrapped in mummy-bandages! Or an uber-tight girdle......

Anne Huskey-Lockard said...

Hi Shelley,

You'll enjoy Zazzle--it's not big bucks (though I suppose it could be...) but lets you design things you can't do out of your studio. I think the mugs are the most fun, although the Tee this time was pretty cool.
I should pay more attention and do something monthky for it....it's just the time gets away so quick! ;)
