I will be off on the road today installing the church banners. This is just a quick teaser to show the tassels that I built for the center point of each of the pieces. I can't describe the weight on these alone; some of the beads don't show well in the photo. I'm going to have to remember to pick up some batteries before I hit the road too, as I am sure I have drained the set in the camera.
It was a great relief yesterday to complete this project that started before my fall last year. It was just one of those *utterly wipe you out* things......I got the inner portion of the car covered with a quilt, and gently lugged the behemoths out there, smoothing them so the canvas letters would not get curled, tucking them in so nothing got stuck when I closed the Cruiser hatchback.
It was odd because the fancy bottom edges were peeking out and I thought how it reminded me of an ornate wedding gown.
I am going to attempt to get up in the choir loft to get photos of these hanging, but then, it is not Easter yet so they may not put them up. If that is the case, I'll stretch them out on the floor and shoot down, to have a better visual record of them.
I think the desire to get them out had an effect on me not doing the usual photo-recording of the process along the way. I burned a couple of shots the other day when I was still stabbing the canvas letters into place, but overall, not much in the computer.
Perhaps that is okay....too many memories attached to this work, through no fault of their own.
I am completely mentally and physically exhausted, and also relieved that they are going. This may be, after the delivery, a great *nothing done day*......LOL!!! (and I feel like I am trying hard to catch cold too....pfffft!)
Tomorrow I'll get a better post of pics, etc up.
Today.......hmmmm.......I'm doing good to hammer keys and sort brain dribble.
So have a good one, enjoy your day whatever you do and remember.....Spring is somewhere out there (just not in Indiana yet!).
Pax.

I am WIPED. I haven't felt this tired in ages and it is going to be either a fun day or a do nothing after the delivery.
Or I can just take all afternoon to try and put tomorrow's post together.....there's a thought! HA!

Hi Anne! I'm getting the 2 kids up and hopefully out the door. :) I get up at 5:30 EST. Which does not mean I am awake! LOL!! I hope you get some fun, and some rest. These things really take it out of you - but it is DONE! WOOT!!! xox

How stunning! what an immense undertaking this was - can't wait to see the photos.
Then I think you need to give yourself a whole day off, lol
Hey Susie!!!
I need to give myself a *day off* and study your tutorial about removing the background from images!!! (yeah, it's not a day off, but it sort of is! And I might learn something too....)
Will try and get the big pics posted tomorrow...the ones from standing on the table....... <:)

Oh Anne, just the tassle is a masterpiece! WOW! DO NO LEAN OVER THE EDGE OF THE LOFT! But I do want to see pics. Love the image you described of it looking like a wedding dress...Oh Happy Day!
**blows kisses** Deb
This tassle is spectacular! I can't wait to see the banners!! BE careful in the loft....and enjoy the end of this project and a new beginning project...whatever that will be!
Some projects are the kinda of thing that you really need to see in the rear-view mirror. Not because they are bad, but because of what occurred whilst they were with you. I am so glad that they are done and that you can actually deliver them yourself. Again, take care of you! the tassels are awesome and I am so glad you did the tute, so I KNOW how they were made.
Whoo hoo! You finished! So glad you'll have a little 'rest' before you move on to the next. The teaser tassle is a beauty!
congrats on getting finished up! I wish I could finish my projects ... I just sit and stare at them, then go turn on Turner Classic Movies. sigh.
Love those tassels!!! Gorgeous!
Congratulations on finishing them!! Now after you have them all delivered you can sit down & breathe again.....
Love,
Marilyn
xxoo
You are just way too cool and talented!! Can't wait to see the 'entire' finished banner!
Hey all---
I will address all the comments tomorrow.
Today went well; I need to upload photos.
It may actually take me a day to get all the pics together....
I am, again, a happy girl! LOL!!!

Yipeee for you!! SO glad it's done and am anxiously awaiting pictures after seeing the 'teaser' tassel. I just know there is beauty coming our way.
I think the elegance you create into your church work is amazing...I can see the wedding ceremonial aspects of the banners. You do sound a wee bit tired so get these delivered and have a hot cup of your favorite tea with me...I am drinking a herbal green tea...great for our immune systems. It is not Spring here in Ohio...it was cold and wet today and the gray skies were heavy like an old army coat. Imagine and Live in Peace, Mary Helen Fernandez Stewart
oh wow!!! your tassels are wonderful!!!
I am hoping Spring finds us soon!!!
Oh, Anne, I feel so relieved for you having this huge project done!! And I can't wait to see the photos...
Just read on Elena's blog that you have a bad headache today. Hope it's much better soon!!
Love, Silke
I had some goals for today and it is 4:00 PM and have about 1/4 done. Got into watching my favorite Foyle's War from Netflix. When I get that series I am wait to watch them. Hope you get all your things done today.
