Out With The Old..........

....and in with the New Year, coming quite quickly! I keep asking myself where 2009 went, but at this point it is a moot question. It is gone.....along with a lot of harsh moments, some avoidable, some not. I am actually looking forward to 2010 in a number of ways: art, health, blog, friends. And not necessarily in that order. I think the friends know they come first, then the blog......
I am not, nor ever have been, a person for New Year's Resolutions as I think most who make them would say they fall by the wayside far too fast, but I do think there are areas of life I want to reexamine, revamp and in general, try for a better self, thus making 2010 a better year.
I had considered a laundry list of things I wished I could have changed in 2009, but then was struck with "WHY?" We all have them and they prove useless in looking forward.
So here is what I hope for my readers in 2010:

--More time for quality time in your lives
--More creativity and learning
--More in the way of peace and health both mentally and physically in a world that pulls us every other way
--More realization of the good that we all have now
--More vision to see the possibilities in our futures
--More belief in yourselves, your work, your abilities
--More love, plain and simple

If that doesn't start making you feel glowing and cozy, then how about something to make you laugh???

Ring in the New Year in a fun way, party like an animal and be safe!!! And I'll meet you right back here, next year!!!
To all of you who have been part of this blogging adventure in 2009, I thank you. Truly. And until next year, I bid you.......

Pax.

Too funny. Now, why are we all up and going for the day so early. We will never make to midnight.

Can't wait to see what you have to bring us in the NY... Are you saying two thousand and ten or twenty ten? Just something to think about today.

Anne Huskey-Lockard said...

Good question...whay ARE we up??? LOL!! (other than I simply could not sleep....)
I'm going for the traditional two thousand ten; heaven forbid I do anything drastic and new! HA!
Will be interesting to see what time I crash today, as with the rest of us....LOL!

Happy New year, Anne! I didn't mind this year so much. But then I am easily pleased, me and mine are all still here. :)) As for resolutions, here is mine: try and remember to take my own friggin' bags to the grocery store and thereby save the planet!! haha! It's a small thing, but I seriously cannot remember to put them in my car! Start small, right? xoxox Pam

I saw that title 'out with the old' and I thought you were kicking me to the curb.
You've had a challenging year - I hope the coming one is as smooth as this one was rough for you.
No party animal-ing for me ... quiet night at home. We MIGHT be awake for midnight - but if not, it wouldn't be the first time we fell asleep before the big 12!
Happy New Year - and thanks for all the enjoyment you've brought to me over the year.

My dearest Anne,

I hope you are recuperating safely and wonderfully.

Thank you dear Anne for your visits, your friendship, you wonderful comments and you great sense of humor and insight. I am blessed to have met you this year. I have enjoyed reading your posts, you love from for trees and plants and your great enthusiasm for life. You are an interesting and beautiful woman, not bad looking either - hahaha, no actually you are very attractive but okay, what I mean to say is, I love having met you this year.

I hope 2010 will be a happy, prosperous and healthy new year.

Love,
Ces

Wow, I love your "resolutions," as those are the exact ones I had in mind!!! Yea, sure, G!!! I'm just thankful for everything I've got and if more comes along, well that's wonderful, if not, well, that's wonderful too...I like where I am in my life and looking forward to more gray hairs, less waistline and in spite of my weight, my knees are holding up (EVERYTHING) so far. I guess I could add losing weight and that's been my goal for years, but as I get older, I enjoy that which tickles my pallet, but I know that I will have to be cut down considerably...like from 3 sacks of groceries to just one sack/day!!!

Well my dea-a, must get dressed and head out to the local beaner store and buy some more stuff for my Mexican feast (you should read the comment Tristan left me on my blog referring to the menudo...hilarious!!)so I bid you "bye y'all" from you buddy in far West TX. Glad you liked the Christmas card...I thought it was fitting considering how we met!!

Love ya,
G

@ Pam....you have no idea how long it took me to put my bags in the car and remember them! Now I love them.
@ Marianne...you've done beautiful work this past year; I cannot imagine a better fresher start!

Hey Ces,

It was wonderful to meet another tree-spirit, a Netter Wanna-be (or someone who knew the name!) and an artist of your quality.
I hope you have more time in 2010 to pursue your art; it is so lovely and intricate...each piece a delight to look at.
I will, repeat, WILL be mended this year and be back to my fiesty old self. I've had more than enough down time to last the rest of my life.....
Look out! heehee!!! >:)
Have a great new year!

Hey Gypsy,

I have to admit, as I sit and answer in 2010, that 2009 was one of the oddest years of my life, a rollercoaster ride up and down, and I think the ending of it really tainted my view of the whole.
I just hope that 2010 will be GOOD, a good year for everyone and prosperous in the ways we need.
And lots more blog-fun!!! :)
