All yesterday afternoon and into the early evening it snowed. It snowed Christmas snow; the type that starts with the big fluffy flakes that are languid and slow in their descent and soon turned into a more rapid, smaller continuous snow that will not be stopped. It is beautiful beyond words and is sort of a late Christmas present for me.....the eternal child, always wishing for a white Christmas.
I don't know what we got out of it; hopefully the roads will be clear between here and Fort Wayne, which is usually an hour and twenty minute drive.
I am thinking, this morning, there is much to be said for a few horses and a sleigh......besides the perk of free fertilizer for the flowerbed come Spring. LOL!!!
Until later......
Pax.
P.S. I had to include this of my dear, dear hubby, out making sure we could get out the driveway.....he looked like Frosty the Snowman when he came in, poor boy! He has had his hands full with me; I don't know how he tolerates it! (plus, he does indeed read the blog, so he knew I had been up to mischief while he was sleeping. hmmmmph! LOL!!!)
Yes, it is a huge, double drive.....

Have a safe trek to the Docs.....You are just about as far from your Doc as I am my breast care center. After my appt. was cancelled for Dec 1st & have a new one of consultation for the 14th of Jan. There doesn't seem to be any hurry so I get comfort in that.
Aren't husbands just sweet. As I get older I can't shovel like I used to so unless I can operate the John Deere Snow Blower I can't do it.
Take care & keep us posted!!
Have a Wonderful Day!!
Love,
Marilyn

Hey Marilyn,
I can run the John Deere plow (when I can attach it....which is NOT this year!) but I cannot shovel at all anymore. Too many back issues.
I am relieved too that there does not seem to be a hurry on your appt---that should be good news.
Will mark the date on my calender.
Stay warm!!!

LOL...what made you think he wasn't reading the blog!
Take care driving, I too have a doc app't but I only have to go to Logan.
Well your appt. shouldn't be quite as avdenturous!
Why did I think he didn't read? Ummmmm....cat'n answer; figured he was too busy with all the real work he does online and of course, hunting down CDs for the collection.
Alas, I was mistaken! LOL!!!

Hey Marianne,
Iam hoping the State has decided to use the snow plows today.....one never knows! LOL!!!
I was pleased with the tulip poplar in the snow...may use it for art later!

Another fantastic shot with that tree, Anne, and hubby is looking pretty snuggable in that parka! GOOD luck at the doctor's.
**kisskiss** Deb
Thanks Deb!
He may have looked great, but he was a little on the odiforous side after the drive......and the parka was sopping wet.... ;)
I'll hug him when he's clean!

"Good" luck with your appointment and "good" luck with the drive in the snow. Hope the conditions are "good" and that you get "good" news at the drs. (Sorry, but I felt it would be "good" to send "good" thoughts your way!). Now, have a "good" day.
ROFLMAO!!!!!
Oh, I had that one coming, and it was quite *good* too!!!
You naughty girl.....yeah, you don't need a lot of *goods* either! LOL!!!!

Hi Gary! Nice job on that drive! Come on over, I've got one that would impress you. Oh, hi Anne! haha! Have a 'pleasant' (I was gonna say good, but no) drive and I hope everything is exactly as it should be, healing wise. xoxoxox Pam
I sympathize with you having to go out into the snow to get to the doctors and I sympathize with gary having to shovel all that snow. Maybe he needs to learn how to attach the snow blower, I'll bet he is motivated to learn that now. I rather enjoy shoveling snow but my tendons and ligaments don't agree. Enjoy yours. snow, that is.
I truly enjoyed watching the snow all day yesterday. It was rough day so not much was getting done anyway. To just sit and watch, the noises all around were stiffled... it was beautiful. Now, it can go away and I won't have hard feelings.
I do my 3 phase bone scan tomorrow. Wish me luck eh? A lot of sit & wait with doctors/testing. Oy.
Hugs and Love friend.
Tammy
Now, now...none of that ROFLYAO my girl! You know you're in no fit state for that right now.
Hi Anne.
I've been on the go all day. Car in garage for oil change and repairs till tomorrow, so I took DH to work and used his car all day!
Bless Gary, right? I don't think men have the same mental feeling we do about how nice it is to be out in the freshly fallen snow. lol...
I used to love to shovel it while it was coming down. Don't think the back could handle it these days, though.
Gorgeous photo of the tree. You live in a great area, Anne. Solitude breeds peace, right? Or something like that. lol... Love the view from your driveway.
I sure hope all reports were "GOOD" at the Docs today!! Let us know.

You always leave the kindness comments...I sincerely hope you have a wonderful 2010
Hope things were good at the doc's. You have a good man there. I read down to your post about blogging and I feel the same. It seems there was so much going on and so many ideas stashed away to post on, now I feel blank. What is there left to talk about? Well I guess I will do like I always do. Leave it all to Him, He knows the blogging world better than I. I got 2 books on blogging for Christmas. Maybe I need to read before 2010 starts out. Happy New Year to you all.
QMM
Hey Tammy,
I hope and pray all goes well for you---a day with tests is not fun inthe least, and usually leaves one exhausted! Take it as easy as possible, alright???
(((HUGS!!)))
XXXOO!!
Anne
Pam, I shall package him up and send him.....heehee!!! He may not be happy when he gets there though; his mom called last night and I thought that one would melt the snow off the roof! I stayed quietly hid downstairs.
Can you spell CHICKEN???? LOL!!!

Anne
Hey Jan,
We have the snowblower fixed, but there was not enough to really use it. Sometimes it just makes thing stick and get icy, so he opted for shoveling.
I used to enjoy it but my back hates it anymore. It is a no-go for me, even if I was okay.....whatever that might be! LOL! Still, I love the snow.... :)

Hey MA---you're right----I couldn't get back up OFF the floor! Trying to think how to abbreviate Sitting In My Chair LMAO!!!! ;)

Hi Audrey,
yes, I used to love to be out shoveling snow but have hurt the back sooooo many times, I can no longer do it. I do miss being able to walk in it now though.
I need to tell DH that, atop everything else, my car needs a tune up.
I think I will wait on that. LOL!!!

Hi Janet!
You do very nice work, that's why you get the comments you do! I can no longer hold a crochet hook for what I enjoyed most---thread work---so I knit instead. Occasionally and afghan, when I feel strong and mentally up to it, which is NOT often! There is sooooo much work in one.
Look forward to seeing more in 2010!

Hi QMM,
For the most part, I always have some drivel that I think needs to be posted on the blog! But every once in a while, the brain goes numb and I sit and look at the new post page...white, blank, threatening me.....LOL!!!
I rwally do enjoy this medium and it has been a life saver (and sanity saver!) this past year!
And yes, I do have a great hubby, and I think he is about ready to put me on a leash so he knows where I am! ;) He has been so good while I have been slowed down. I think I'll keep him! :)
