......yes, *THE BUG* is back at Chateau Lockard. I would say I can't believe it, but indeed I can as DH came home with a very light version of *it* the other day and I have been okay other than tired (and that's just because I'm very much an old fart, right???) and allergies.
Oh no. That's not enough. Yesterday it knocked me for a loop and really took my legs out from under me; today, so far, it feels the same.
Lovely.
I need time I can't work just like I need a hole in the head. Well, okay, maybe the hole in the head wouldn't be a bad idea, but not right now.
So while this nasty vermin does it's thing in my head and lungs (and every joint in my body) I believe I will be in the reclining position for the most part, unless of course there are a few bursts of anything remotely close to energy and I can try and sew rosettes or the trim on the one banner side.
I'm not holding my breath.
Maybe that's what I should have done in the first place to avoid this.....or maybe I'll be calling my dear Doctor promptly tomorrow morning, requesting an audience.
Geez.
For the rest of you, have a good day and get into a bit of mischief for me too, would ya? (hack! wheeze!)
Pax.
P.S.Yes, I did stagger out to get shots of the fog blanketing the countryside this morning......bug or not.

What on earth is that nasty little critter? It has a head like an ant, is it a dust mite? Great shot though.
Tree Peonies grow happily in Beijing with harsh winter temperatures, so I have no idea why you can't grow them. Maybe it is a question of soil, water -logging or a lack of dolomite. I cannot grow them in the garden since our summers are too dry, they need to be in tubs in a sheltered position. Do persevere, they give so much joy.
PS one of the best examples I have ever seen was in Vermont.
Hi Arija,
I can't claim that pic....I needed a wierd bug FAST and Google provided it....I should have looked. It just looked like I feel! LOL!
We have clay soil and no matter how I ammend it, it stays CLAY. I have just given up on certain plants here. When we first moved I had an excellent garden, then I noticed things began to either die or thrive. That sort of told me that the soil was the culprit. Holds much too much water in the winter.
Thankfully my old fashioned roses don't seem to mind, other than the mold, but everything gets molds in Indiana summer!
I'll enjoy beautiful pics of the peonies and dream..... :)
XXOO!!
Anne....who can grow regular old fashioned peonies quite easily
Wishing you a speedy recovery my friend.
Thanks!!!
Me too!!! Been a rough week.....things can only improve...

Anne
Woman, get thee well. Other that Mrs. Lincoln how did you enjoy the show?
Some bug...
Hey Leslie,
Well, on top of everything else, DH called and his secretary passed suddenly last night.
I am at a point of retreating into a shell for a while.....life is getting more than I can deal with.
Off to sew...
XXOO!!
Anne
I have my own completely uneducated and unvalidated response.
I think you dont' take the time to heal yourself before starting in regular life again. Your body is weakened and the virus, which still has a toehold, gains ground and takes over again.
That is worth exactly what you paid for it.
So, though I hope you feel better soon, STAY IN BED AND HAVE CHICKEN SOUP!!!!!! Not until you feel BETTER, but until you feel WELL.
Hey Tristan,
Gary and I both have said we felt like we never got over round one, but we aren't *sick* enough for meds........with him teaching, he is around people all the time that are sick.....it's crazy.
I'm going to find a hole and crawl in....
XXOO!!
Anne
Oh Anne...do take care of both of you! You don't need this disease that's going around. Tristan is right - lots of chicken soup and TLC is what you need, and lots of rest too.
I'm sorry to read about your husbands secretary too.
Thanks MA----neither of us have sufficient rest time; I know that.
With this atop everything else, there will be work to find out the VA benfits for the children....
Just an odd hard day.
Hope your day is good!

My hubs works at the hospital and now, anyone displaying ANY symptoms is given a mask and asked to follow universal precautions. It is scary time for me and it can be worrisome if I let myself get worried. I try to remember HE is following all precautions. He comes home, changes immediately and takes a shower. I have about 6-12 more weeks of uptake so I must remain illness free.
I am hurting in my legs dear one so I KNOW your hips are hurting. And to be sick on top of it is unfair for you. I wish you lots of prayers and get better wishes!! Now go rest until you are well friend. Tammy
ps. That bug is disgusting!
Hey Tammy,
Thanks so much. It blows me away how much flu is here and I am hoping that you are able to get through your uptake bug-free!!!
I just decided to sew some this a.m. and listen to a church svc. on line and things are okay. Vitamins and supplements and meditation---it all works.
Take care and keep me posted on how you're doing.
XXOO!!
Anne
P.S. yes...isn't that one honking bug???? LOL!!!! ;)
I wish I could come over & give you some help BUT you are so-o-o-o far away!! Take care my friend....
Love,
Marilyn
Hey Marilyn,
Doing okay; been doing a bit of hand sewing and not enough to wear myself out but fill the need for *work*....LOL!
And you want to stay as far away from this junk as possible! Hide! ;)
I keep trying to......
Off to try and think up dinner; bleah.
XXOO!!
Anne
I'd rather have the bug in the photo than the one you have in your body. Get well soon, my friend.
Oy yay! That is some nasty bug Anne. I hope you feel better soon. I hate colds and flu. I never get off it without goung through a phase of bronchitis - for two months.
Enjoy the skeletal oaks. They can be beautiful too! Tsup!
Well Jan, it gets better.....DH is out cold with it, so we're off to the Dr. tomorrow.....
Sigh....
XXOO!!
Anne
Hi Ces,
I'm the same---once it's in me, I always end up with bronchitis and for about the same amount of time.
It's because we are such *lovely* hostesses!
HA!
XXOO!!
Anne
Please take care of both you Anne, according to my doctor, this flu is ready to take over and turn into pneumonia with hardly a good reason, so I hope you indeed get checked out tomorrow! Get better!
Dagnabbit... you didn't need this. I hope it is gone when you awake in the morning.
Anne! You and Gary need to become hermits. Lock the door and don't let anyone in until next Spring! :) Hope you feel much better very soon. xoxo Pam
goodness (or should i say badness)
take it easy and GET WELL!!!!
Hey Julie,
We're both heading to SOME doctor today; DH was horrible last night and indeed, he sounds again like he is on the verge of pneumonia.
I'm so tired, I'm not sure how I feel....with my fingers....right? LOL!!!
No, we are taking it most seriously....
XXOO!!
Anne
Hi Di,
Well, I'm up, it's still with me, so off we go! ;)
I need a vacation....a healthy one! Is that too much to ask for?
XXOO!!
Anne
Oh Pam believe me, if we COULD become hermits, we would be the first in line. He's supposed to do a Veterans day speech Wed. (told him he wasn't), teach tonight though he's home now---I need to tell him he isn't, and we have a viewing and funeral for his secretary Tues. and Wed. and I don't know how any of that is going to happen.
I've got to get the doc to yell at him HARD.......
Hermitdom....here I come.
XXOO!!
Anne
Hey Teri,
Believe me, I have been TRYING! It's just that the *bug* loves me too well........ :)
I want it to be Spring and all over....there's no time like Spring, there's no time like Spring, there's no time like Spring......click,click,click.
Nope, still stuck in Fall Flu Season! LOL!!!
XXOO!!
Anne
Sending more good thoughts your way. Hope the dr. was able to do something for you today.
Hi MA,
I need to do a quick post this morning, for updates......
Though curling up on the couch sounds too good, but can't due to, well, I'll just do a post.
XXOO!!
