Okay, it's a bad pun on the Soup Nazi from Seinfeld, but here's the thing; the computer is working only half, I spent ALL yesterday troubleshooting and trying to delete junk programs, I am way behind due to life and have not been able to get anything creative done.
I am taking a break until I can get this blasted heathen machine back working right.
I really, REALLY hate computers and the problems they cause.
I hate sending them in for repair and finding an assortment of programs I did not ask for when they come home.
I wish I had saved my money and bought a Sony Vaio like DH's, because that is the fastest, most trouble free machine I have ever seen.
But I didn't. And don't have the money for one now. If I did, this one would be sold. Love my new flat screen, dislike grossly the CPU. It doesn't even play CD's like my old one......was sort of lead to believe it did.
At any rate, until I can get somethings caught up, done, fixed, well and be a bit more human.......
I'm outta here.
Be back before the leaves fall........
Pax.

Oh, Anne - I feel your pain! I have spent the last HOUR trying to upload 4 little pics to my stinkin' flippin' blog. For some reason, two weeks ago, it just started to take forever to upload. The DH (who is a tekkie, thank gawd!) has tested everything we own and reset, etc. So I was just about to post the same thing. That I would be back when I figure out WHY everything is taking so long! I can't even post on etsy (but that seems to be an etsy problem). I hate computers! LOL!!!! Well, maybe we can curl up with our lovely art projects instead. Hope you're feeling better! xo Pam
While I had the tekkie out yesterday, here's what he did:
He reinstalled my browser, deleted it, then reinstalled again.
Yours sounds like mine; he suspected a corrupted file. He finally got the Mozilla off---said he had never seen that happen before, that it would not remove. Computer working GOOD today! So that's something you might try.
I hate not doing this daily, as I love talking with everyone---it's a lifeline, but I have to get the banners further along, and if I start thinking, BLOG, then my one braincell wanders right off!!! LOL! Know what I mean?
I just need a few days to recoup from everything and get a list made of what HAS to be done, then start.
And things will fall into place.
And now you have another blog-post to read!!!! OY!
Hope your computer situation clears up---and yes, I'm feeling tons better but still have DH home.
XXOO!!!
Anne
Shoulda bought a Mac.....and I had SLOWNESS with Photoshop, so backed up the whole computer and put a lot of the digital images on discs - helped a great deal - but I do need more memory...
Glad to hear the ole "you" back in your voice!!
Linda, that's what the tech said!!! I told him I was too old to try and relearn programs (lazy would have been a better term!!!).
I need to get a couple of thumbdrives and get a ton of pics off here......that doesn't help either and my own self-diagnosed OCD saying "OH! Can't delete it---might NEED it!" LOL!!!!
I am much better this a.m. and just need to work for a few days then I will be back at the blog. Everything sort of tumbled down all at once, and I have to get the really important things taken care of first---just a stinky week of fighting with people about the return of the fabric and calling the CC people (with the customer svc people being in INDIA, trying to get the message straight!), hubby sick, etc.
I need some alone art time.......BAD.
But have to sew first. I'm sure soon I'll have a humdinger of a post on here!!! In my *usual* voice! HA!
XXOO!!!!

Hey Jean,
I don't anticipate a long absence, just enought to get a few things back in tow. You know how it is for us girls....work, work, work, and oh yes...try and do some paying work! LOL!!!!
I guess there will be a bit of a.m. withdrawal symptoms.... ;)
XXOO!!!
Anne
Vicki and Teri---
I absolutely KNOW you two understand!
And I feel bad when I'm not commenting on blogs, but that is pretty much on hold too for a short bit.
To quote Arnie...."I'll be back!" :)

You deserve a break Anne after being so sick. Glad that the computer is faster, that gets really frustrating! Go put those fabulous red socks on and make something cool. The blog will wait, we'll be here when you get back.
Thanks Julie---had a productive day and a nap too! Hopeing I can kick ass out here in the studio over the weekend and get some serious work done.
Life shouldn't get so complicated.... LOL!!!

Anne
I know we are having serious issues with our cable internet. Are you on time warner by chance? We a slower than slug slow here. Chin up, you'll get there. Hugs. Tammy
Hi Tammy,
No, I'm out in podunk and we're on broadband, which is good----it was just that a couple of programs got loaded on the computer that had corrupted files and they were making a big mess of everything---freezing up, not shutting down, etc.
You know, the usualy computer-non-geeks nightmare! I troubleshot as much as I could (two days!)but sometimes you have to call someone who KNOWS something!
I'll be back in a few days; I'm working on the church banners and going good. I just have to get a bit caught up and also dealing with health care paperwork on top, so I'm sure you understand.....
And when I get back, it's the ornery old Anne! (and a bit healthier too!)
Take care---

I was thinking of you yesterday dear Anne, as I wrote yet another module for Influenza screening. I know the bug has gotten you. I hope you are on the mend.
Ah, no blog for you seems so curt and unkind but losing those connections for a day or two gets the better of you.
I hope all will be well by this weekend.
Best regards,
Ces
Hey Ces---
I just have this warped sense of humor; it was directed at ME as much as anything, to remind myself that I have to get caught up on *real life* here, much as you've had to restrict your drawing.
I figure in a few days, or a week, I should be back babbling.
Yes, this was FLU and it was wicked. People need to be concerned and not blow it off. Cannot remember the last time I had anything this bad and I usually get it around three times in a Winter, so am hoping that doesn't happen again!
I'm in the studio today working, hope your hands are doing better too.
We'll be back....... >:)
XXOO!!!
