In the throes of it all......

I can't take time to do a beautiful post full of lovely photos---I am in the throes of trying to finish this piece, which has gone from wonderful to rotten to great to almost destroyed to, as it is now, blissful! Well, that pretty much sums up art, as a whole.
So you get what you get today; a good look at the inner sanctum, the Sanctum Sanctorium, while magic is happening! (or a big mess is being made---pick one) Yes, I picked through every one of those polished small stones for three that suited my needs. I am definitely OCD. I think that confirmed it. I was even checking under the table, in case I missed or dropped one, just in case it might be better. That's not healthy.........

A little better look at the bedlam-in-progress.......I had to crop this because there was too much going on for the eye to visually land anywhere! HA! I frequently wonder, when I step back and look at work in progress, how I actually produce any art at all.
I am vaguely recalling that a cluttered desk is the sign of a high intellect, or something like that. Just nod and agree. Or I might enlist you to sort stones too.
Off to the Doc this afternoon, then hopefully I will have this finished up to post no later than Thursday, the day after I get to draw the winner of the Blog Giveaway! And thanks to everyone who has signed up and followed and posted on their blog about it. What fun!
And now gentle readers, back to the salt mines.....
Go have a fabulous creative day!!!
Pax.

clutter?????? I don't see no stinkin' clutter!
I am off to the studio too but it will be more of a classroom today than a studio ... got to pay the rent somehow.

I wanna help sort stones. People pay big bucks for that kind of zen activity. :) The piece looks great! And I think that today, I should clean and organize my workspace. I have about an 8 inch square to work in!

Teri---wish I was doing something to make money! My money-maker is sitting on the table, waiting for the leg to get well enough to sit at the sewing machine for hours.....sigh.....

Pam---they pay MONEY for that????
Boy do I have a lot of stones.....LOL!!! I buy those suckers by the bag, because there are always a couple I want out of the mess, but they're cheap, so?
I'm pretty much down to 12-16" square to try and do art in. Something has to give......good luck with yours!

It's gonna be fabulous and I wish that I had space like that dedicated to art.

Well, I went through hell to get that little bit of basement cleaned out enough for art, and I already have it filled to the gills with junk, so it's gonna need another *pitch-session* again.
I am such a pack-rat.....pitiful.
Wish you lived closer and you could share it!

love the way the piece is progressing ... it's really going to be another el Milagro treasure!

Actually, your space looks very organized ... and I'm sure that's not easy, as it appears you own every art and craft supply manufactured in the past twelve years.

No no Honey---about everyone that's been manufactured in the past 35 years....a few things dry up and get pitched, but I do have a paintbrush, all dried and full of gel medium that is being saved for something special!
I don't know what....... ;)
Any ideas???

Love the shot of your studio - lots of good things to look at. I actually cleaned ours yesterday - had enough energy, and ended up finding some old treasures - like lots of "old" white cotton that didn't used to work for marbling, and will now be used for the new stuff. Plus lots of flowers to get ready to marble - and leaves for my bamboo piece.

Good idea on buying the bags of stones - waaayyyy cheaper than buying at the Gen Show!

I love the dollar stores and places like big lots for odd little things I can glue on. Sometimes they have things for a buck that cost up to $4-$5 elsewhere.
So I have this growing collection.....and growing......and growing.... :)

I'd take the whole house if there was some way to justify it.
And it would be FULL. ;)
