Fell yesterday----broke hip. Awaiting surgery today. please hold all comments and mail till I post I'm home. A super nurse,Gwen, tormented IT till they got this up and running for me. But still too hard to use at this point. Miss you all!!!!!
I can't believe this! I'm so sorry this has happened! This will put a cramp in your style. Or more likely you will bring your style to the hospital and shake things up there. And here I am, complaining about s wood sliver up under my fingernail. We will await further news.
Oh, Anne.... poor you. Big hugs from over the pond. Gentle ones, of course... anything I can send you? It may be cold comfort, but apparently knees are more painful than hips... hold that thought....
oh sweetie, i know you asked us to hold our comments but obviously we can't! we all love and need you too much! so sorry about your big ouchie! oh so very sorry, girl! am praying for your speedy recovery and that you are not too sad! please say the word if i can help in any way. it is plain damn not fair that someone who makes folks so happy has to get hurt. i'm with tristan, hoping for grand marnier etc. etc. to come your way. much love and light to you, my friend.
Hello to Anne's gentle readers...I spoke with one of Anne's friends, this afternoon. Her surgery was postponed from Thursday PM to Friday AM. I have not heard the outcome, but will leave another comment when I hear more.
I plan to visit her tommorrow to get the scoop on what it going on. I'm sure she will need some type of help...she has so many steps in her house. It is my understanding she fell in the garage and had to crawl up three steps to get to a phone.
Vicki...a friend of Anne's also from the Hinterlands of Indiana, as she calls it.
Talked to Anne a few minutes ago. Surgery was successful and she was up for her first walk this morning. She doesn't know the time schedule for going home, but hopes it will be the first of the week.
OMG! Thank goodness surgery was successful. I just heard news yesterday that another friend (elderly about 65:-) broke a hip skiing in New Mexico. What's up with everyone falling? Get well soon, Anne!@ Hugs!

OH NO!!!!!!!
how dreadful for you - I'm so sorry! I remember when Jon had hip surgery how much it hurt him, so having it broken must be absolutely miserable!!!
are people bringing you chocolate and Grand Marnier and good trashy novels?!
:-(
